Seems like if you were only making 75k as a household, only your wife was working? You're all over the place here man, if you're both making 75k gross (or 50k net roughly) that means you guys are bringing home 8.5k/month. Subtract 4k for loans and 2k for rent and you guys still have 2.5k to go through. Sorry if its not adding up breh but I'm having a hard time even imagining having that much money as a household. I live in the Baltimore/Washington market so really I'm not completely tone deaf on the cost of things. Not LA money, but not living in North Dakota either. I have no clue how you're not able to make those numbers work.

Now if you were both for some reason paying 2k rent a piece, I can see that being a little more of a struggle, but it also seems that the extra rent would be something you could do away with to allow you more comfort and better the financial situation.
