Cutting Advice - Should I bump up to maintaince?

    Hi All,

I started my first cut at the start of the year. I’m really happy how it’s going and I’m dropping weight at a good rate. I was around 183lbs (ish) and now I’m at 178lbs.

My question is Someone mentioned before that on a cut that after a few weeks you should shift back up to maintainable for a week or two? Because the body adapts or something? Is this highly recommended? If so when and for how long?

In terms of my goal, I want to get to 165 lbs so there’s quite a few weeks to go.

Not after a few weeks, after a few MONTHS "maybe" if you really need to for those losing large amounts of weight over a long period of time. But going from 183 to 165 you should be able to do in 1 shot without a diet break.
All it takes is consistency, effort, proper nutrition, good programming, and TIME.

Don't be upset with the results you didn't get from the work you did not do.

Depending on how your body is responding a few more weeks from now you might actually have to cut an additional 200 calories, not add.
