Outdoor Night Workout - How to Stay Warm?

My outdoor gym equipment is in the backyard, but I can only find time to use it at night when it is freezing cold which makes the workout significantly harder. Can anyone recommend a supplement or lotion that warms the skin and muscles? I end up having to do cardio before each workout just to get the blood flowing and cuts into my free time. Any advice will be grateful.

phenylpiracetam and tyrosine but phenylpiracetam can only be used occasionally. there is also Vasoburn from MPA supps which is a topical fat burner that provides a warming sensation but realistically it's going to suck and you will need lots of layers

Cheers. Although not sure if phenylpiracetam is legal to buy here in Ireland, but there are alternatives on sale, though not as effective with so many mixed reviews. Cheers for the advice.

25 - 40 fahrenheit + occasional rain, snow, and strong winds. Wearing 3 tops and a thermal coat, but the more I put on, the less room I have for full body extension. Was thinking of purchasing an insulated thermal tent. Although the gym equipment and weights would have to continually be carried in and out when changing over to a different exercise.

I mean, that's not very cold. Though it helps if you let your barbell inside for a few hours to warm up.

    How about Niacin?

And have you tried under armor cold gear as a base layer? Or pocket hand warmers?

generally speaking anything labeled "thermogenic" is supposed to increase body temp

I would go with long underwear and a sweatshirt, that's what I normally wear for outdoor rugby practices when it gets into the low 30s

That sounds like it should be plenty warm enough, but it depends on the quality of the clothing and of course the individual. FWIW, I wear a thermal long sleeve, Arc'Teryx Fortrez Hoody, and an Arc'Teryx Atom LT Hoody hiking and can go down into the 30s comfortably if I keep moving. I would be plenty comfortable lifting in it also. Look into some of the higher quality hiking/climbing gear (e.g. Arc'Teryx) if you can afford it. All of that gear is designed, specifically, to keep you warm while still allowing for maximum movement.

You could look into embrocations that some cyclists and runners use for cold weather workouts. There are different levels of heat offered. Just be sure to wash your hands thoroughly after you apply it.

Mad Alchemy is a fairly popular brand. You can see the products here: https://www.madalchemy.com/our-products
