    Senior moments collection

    Figured a nice repository of comical senior moments might be fun.

    I'll start.

    After finishing my weightlifting program I decided to do some volume bench press on the hammer strength bench machine.

    When finished, I took two plates off one side, took 3 plates off the other, then the last plate from the first....

    Nah. Not a senior moment. You wouldn't have done that if you didn't have experience in the gym unloading free weight bench and squats.

    I have seen worse stuff from the younger guys

    Ok, a few years ago after lifting weight I went to the cardio room which is massive and got on a treadmill. After about 20 minutes, I lost concentration and started thinking about something totally unrelated. I somehow tripped over one foot and face-planted on the treadmill. After cussing myself out, I started laughing a couple other laughed, too. Now, that was retaraded

    Treadmills are scary as phuk. Last time I tried one I simply couldn't run straight. I'd step on the side then hit the stupid video thingy. Good share!

    I actually unloaded the smith today like you would unload a normal BB, I didn't think I needed to alternate sides but was kind of a better safe than sorry thing.

    MY typical one is doing DB BP, finishing my last set, putting them away and then realizing I needed one of them for DB pullovers

    Many years ago I finished my squat session with 405.

    Wasn't thinking and pulled all 4 plates off one side of the barbell. CRASH!!!!!!

    Luckily no one was around.

    Unbalancing the bar is standard practice for me. Fortunately, the weights have a way of reminding me when I do.

    I also sometimes put too light a load on the bar, and then I feel like a monster -- "Man, I AM STRONG!!!" Then I look at the plates, and say "Man, I am dumb!"

    I remember walking out from gym and not finding my truck, nearly reported it stolen.

    I don't think those are senior moments, more like training-induced hypoxia or perhaps blood flow related. Most noticeable right after the heavy set, especially legs, squats or press.
