Question Question about Morning Workout Supplement - Energy ?

    Hi,
I searched around forum but I couldn't find any answer for my specific question. I am doing fierce 5 workout, 3 days a week in the morning. I wake up at 6:30am and go to gym at 7am. I feel like I need some more energy to do squad and shoulder press.
I have Whey isolate, creatine and bananas ^^ at home now, and I do some researches about BCAA and pre-workout. I believe I need at least 1 scoop whey when I wake up (after a long night empty) and 1 more when i get home. So my question is: What supplement should I use or mix when I wake up (before gym), and after gym?

Here is what i am thinking (banana is available in any slot):
    1- Whey + Creatine + 1 Banana --------Whey
    2- Whey + BCAA ----------- Whey + Creatine
    3- Whey + BCAA - Creatine ------------Whey
4- Pre work out ------------ Whey + Creatine
    5,6,7,8..

nvm, i don't know. Please give me some suggestion.

You don't need extra bcaa if you're getting enough protein in your regular diet.

And it doesn't matter what time of day or sequence you get your creatine in; just get in 4-5g per day every day, any time and you're fine there.

Some whey and a banana is fine in the morning but if you still feel sluggish, a good pre would be beneficial for you.

Option 4 or 5. 5 is Preworkout + creatine and then whey. Timing of the whey is irrelevant though. I personally prefer a solid meal after.

You pay for what you get. I would get a quality pre, and fish oil product. The better fish oils are tested for purity and only require 3-4 caps vs 6-8 like most cheap brands.

Orange Triad is what I'd go with for a multi. For a fish oil I'd get Oximega by Controlled Labs, or the BB.com Ultra Omega.

I'll add to this post don't take anything I say for grant, as I'm not a medical practitioner. However, I do train 6 days a week, wake up hit the gym at 3 am, and work a manual labor job from sun-up to sun-down. I've also put a great deal of time over (12+) months into studying supplements and the snake oils out there.

As far as Fish Oil Supplements. Fish oil is great for your over-all health. Some of the best formulas are also good for heart, eyes, and joints also. I take Fish Oil at night night for the heart and joint health benefits. I take it at night time, because it has also been known to help with relaxation and seems to help me sleep better.

As far as pre-work out or energy supplements, here we go. Again, I'm not a medical practitioner. I'm only stating what I've read and what has personally helped me by trial and error. For energy, I stick away from caffeine, because it seems to raise my anxiety, stress, and cortisol levels. This isn't good when your trying to bulk up and be healthy.

I prefer more clean energy and also supplements. Why? The energy levels last longer throughout the day without the crash and also most of these supplements have shown to help with fatigue during resistance exercise training.

My morning supplement stack outside of my shakes consist of:

1,000 mg Ashwagandha + 200mg Korean Ginseng. Both of these seem to give me long lasting energy, less fatigue during training, and are known to increase testosterone and strength. I usually throw in a Test Booster Capsule to work in conjuction with the Ashwagandha. I've also started throwing a bit of Maca Root in there and seem to be enjoying it.

For night time: I take my fish oil as previously mentioned and also take Valarian Root and 750 mg of Gaba. Both of these have really dialed in my sleep schedule and GABA has shown in studies to increase your GH (Growth Hormone) levels as much as 400% during your sleep cycle.

I try to keep things simple and trial and error from time to time. Again, I'm just stating what has seemed to work from my personal experience. Most of the supplements mentioned above I started with from the beginning of my training 15 months ago. All of my main lift numbers Bench, Squat, and Deads have all three went from mid 100's to a little over 300 on all three lifts. I do not contribute the strength gains to any of these supplements soley, because it took lots of hard work and sweating through sick days in the gym.

But I will say, these supplements have defiantly helped me gain energy, less fatigue, and dial in my sleep schedule again, important for raising growth hormone levels.

Hope this helps and also don't forget your diet and protein intake plays a big part of your energy levels throughout the day so if you don't have these dialed in, go back to the basics before experimenting with supplements.

Thank you for all good information. Very helpful for beginner like me. I hope other people will read all the information to make sure they can make the right choice in supplements.

I of course recommend taking a look at Controlled Labs Orange Oximega Fish Oil. Whatever you go with, one of the top considerations is, unless you get it regularly in your diet, aim for 2-3 grams combined EPA and DHA per day.
