Iran is probably preparing for a significant missile attack against US and coalition bases in the region and also targets inside Israel.

The range from firing locations inside Iran to Israel is roughly 1,000 km.

The range from firing locations to US bases in Iraq is much shorter, roughly 300 km to Ain al Asad airbase in Iraq for example, and roughly 100 km to US forces in Kuwait.

One concern is that Putin/Russia is going to have a strong temptation to get involved while operating missile systems from Iranian territory. Hopefully not.

The level of intel and preparation activity going on throughout the US military in the region and also among the IDF is intense right now.

I guess that would technically mean if any missile is launched from let's say Saudi Arabia, some British airbase or Iraq they are going to retaliate against all of those countries.
