BulkSupplements Whey Protein 80% Concentrate Review
I am fairly newb ( ~1 year ) so my only experience with other protein powders are free samples that I have gotten or Optimum Nutrition's Double Chocolate Whey, so this is realistically the third protein powder I have consistently used.
Price:
The price was the main reason that I bought this powder. There was a sale for Christmas that let me get 5kg of powder for $44.96, which comes out to about $4.07/lb of protein. You can also add a free shirt for $5, which I did. Even without a sale, $79.96 for 5kg of powder is a good deal.
Delivery:
Delivery was usual, I received the package 11 days after ordering. Given the time I ordered it, they delivered it really fast for Christmas time.
Package:
The package came with 5 1kg packages, with 33 servings in each package. There are 24g per serving, and the serving size is 33 grams. 165 servings of powder for the entire order. The seal on the bags are horrible, so keep it somewhere where it won't spill or put it in another container.
Taste:
The powder itself is unflavored, but it has a light, unpleasant smell to it when added with water. Almost eggish. It isn't bad enough to smell far from the bottle, but you will smell it while drinking it. The taste is unflavored, but is a little chalky if you use water. Milk gets rid of the smell almost completely and makes it taste, well, like milk.
Verdict:
If you're short on cash, and you don't mind unflavored, I would rate this powder above Optimum Nutrition in terms of value.
