    Critique Deadlift Form (Video)

Hoping to get some advice on my deadlift form. This was for a working set. Not maximum effort, but not an easy weight for me either. Thanks in advance.

    Pretty solid overall.

It looks like your hips might be a tad far back at the start. Its hard to tell from this angle though. But, see how during your setup, you are kind of leaning forward, then right before you get tight and pull you lean back a little. That leaning back is pushing your hips away from the bar. You want your hips to be as close to the bar for better leverages. Your arms should not be in a vertical line, but rather on a small angle slightly in front of the bar.

Its not terrible, and again its hard to tell from this angle so it may be fine. Overall though, pretty good. Bar is close to body, bar path looks like it has no forward or backward motion. Fully locking out. Low back looks solid.

Thanks man. Appreciate you taking a look. I took a look at your Instagram and was wondering what type of stand you are using for squats? I'm looking to build out my home gym and my basement has pretty low ceilings so a power rack is out. The squat stand you're using looks like it would be a great fit. Thanks in advance and thanks again for the advice.

Its a combo rack. It gets used for squat and bench. A lot of companies sell them. Rogue, Elite, Texas... I bought mine from Sam hell barbell. I was recommended him from another on this forum. A few others here use these same racks also. I am VERY happy with the quality of the rack and the price. It was 2k shipped. I would highly recommend him. Check Sam Hell Barbell on facebook and Instagram and send him a message there.
