I used My Fitness Pal by Under Amour, but they have taken away the ability to see your macros unless you subscribe to their upgraded service. I don't care to pay for someone to track me so they can try to sell me more stuff.
Anyone have a free app that does a similar job of keeping track of macros? The ability to scan bar codes is particularly nice.
Thanks!

I think Lifesum is a decent app. I know it got millions of users in the US, so I assume the app got an extensive food database here as well (have only tried it in Europe). It also got the barcode scanner functionality :-)

I started out with the free version of Cronometer and loved it! After a year I stepped up to their Gold tier and loved that even more!! As a coach, I now have their PRO-Version, which allows me to invite clients onboard to Gold for free. I highly recommend Cronometer for all of your nutrition tracking and meal planning needs. Let us know which way you go... Good luck!
Without proper diets and effective meal plans dialed in, you might well be spitting in the wind.
