    Question Am I doing too much during my workouts?

    Hey People.

    I've put together a workout routine that takes roughly 1 hour and 10 minutes, but I don't really know if I'm doing too much or not. I do these at home with dumbbells, a bench and a mat.
    I'm doing:

    3 sets of 12 squats
    3 sets of 12 bench presses
    3 sets of 12 shoulder presses
    3 sets of 12 upright rows
    3 sets of 12 lying pullovers
    3 sets of 12 seated bicep curls
    3 sets of 12 seated tricep presses
    3 sets of 12 wrist curls
    3 sets of 12 bent over rows
    3 sets of 12 bent over raises
    3 sets of 12 sit-ups
    3 sets of 12 reverse crunches
    3 sets of 12 sitting twists
    3 sets of 12 high crunches
    3 sets of 12 knee crunches
    3 sets of 12 knee-to-elbow crunches
    2 sets of 20 seconds elbow planks
    2 sets of 20 seconds side elbow planks
    3 sets of 12 back extensions
    3 sets of 12 running planks

    With 15 seconds rest between sets and 20 seconds between exercises.

    I do these every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, but I'm concerned if it's too much, especially because I've been falling out of this routine here and there during the past year.
    Anything I should change?

    My goal is to lose bellyfat as I've developed a bit of a pot belly due to beer drinking ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but I also wanna build some muscle.

    Its a worthless workout, you have too much volume and too light weights to do anything of significance other than to spend time in the gym.

    Either put some weight on the bar or just go out and do a run if you want to do cardio.

    This ^^^^.

    OP, you're basically doing cardio with weights. (That many sets/reps with that little rest times means cardio with very light weights.)

    Focus on your diet too (beer and otherwise) to reduce cals if you want to lose belly fat.

    If you did that with worthwhile intensity, you'd need 1 to 5 minutes between sets and 4 to 5 hours to complete the whole thing.

    If you're doing all of this with so little rest, it basically amounts to conditioning and you'll make virtually no gains. Follow an established program.

    Pick a program in the stickies. Any program like Fierce 5, AllPro or Coolcicada PPL. Just google those 3 programs. Read their descriptions and start following a routine you like.

    No trolling. I am not super knowledgeable when it comes to weight lifting and I genuinely didn't really know if what I was doing was right. From your comments I can now tell that it clearly wasn't.
