I know it aint weigh in but progress pics for motivation!
Today marks the 6 month since i hopped on this journey! Never thought is even make it close to this but here i am!! Lost a 100lbs! My stomach shows for it but im sure ill be able to find non surgical ways to improve it. Suggestions more than welcome!
Looking to drop to 175 before i start a very slow clean bulk and maintenance.
Here are some progress pics from July 15 2019 at 288lbs vs January 14 2020 at 188lbs!
Thanks to everyone for the encouragements, kind words and inspiration in these threads!!Transformation Thread: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=177716261&p=1591136601#post1591136601

Dude no that's nothing... Slow bulk/slow cut cycles will do wonders for you. Ive seen it. My worry is how mine will be. I can only hope I get to even half of what you did in terms of loose skin. No keep at it and cut. Then slow bulk for about 6 months. Do a slow cut. Rinse and repeat. You should be able to filly that out nicely.
I similiarly lost a big amount in 2012 and then life happened. Now I'm about 6 months behind you in terms of my journey. Currently sitting at 328.2 down from 340. Hopefully by June I can be under 275. My goal is really just to cut all year and get under 250. Lowest I ever got before was 228 and my bf was about 12%... and then I was around there for a long while before life happened. Slower is tedious but to keep on it. Really want to reduce potential loose skin. I'm more of a straight calorie person when it comes to weight loss. I get 2500 calories each day (that's my cutting and has been even 7 years back). Did a bunch of months testing my maintenance etc. I should be able to drop 2 lbs a week which would equate to 96 for the year give or take some days that don't work out well. The last 7 weeks literally haven't had a drop over 2500 calories measured exactly. It hasn't even been that daunting as I thought it would be. The myfitnesspal app really had upgraded nicely to be extremely easy to add now and keep going. Food scales are as accurate as ever.
I already have one Vegas trip with some gold friends planned for 2.5 days in early March which will be my "carb load" few days. Not going to go anything insanely wild calorie wise but will be indulging more. The rest of the time it's lots of lifting, more protein and as much as I can take of veggies. The rest will fill itself in.
You do not look like a surgery candidate to me. Just keep doing what you are doing.
I hope to be able to share a leaner looking me in the next 6-9 months.
For everyone else who may have read this here... Keep going and find what works for you. Small things help... I'm a weirdo and find a 1/3 cup of whole milk cottage cheese is (about 75 calories) is the best thing I could ever eat before bed. I also love breakfast and could care less about a small lunch or afternoon snack. We all have what works so use that and keep at it.Last edited by LeaninBack916; 01-14-2020 at 10:07 PM.

Congratulations!!!
The pics are something like father (before) and son (after) lol
I don´t have knowledge about how to solve the skin thing without surgery. The max I could watch about this was to, first of all, wait. Wait at least one year to check how your own body is capable to shrink. And the other thing that I heard about is to build more muscles.
Success in your jorney!

I forget to log in last week. Making a little progress but at least the needle is moving in the right direction.
I was out of town last week with my job. My wife went with me . I had smoked chicken breast. We took that and every thing to make some good salads. Only hit a restaurant once that week. Trying to keep the good habits eat better and cut down on alot on good cold adult beverages.

2.5lbs loss this week, however I suspect there was a little water retention left from holiday carb load. Slightly over the weight loss range I'm looking for which is 1% of my weight weekly but that's cool! End goal right now for this cut is to drop another 10-15lbs down to about 170-175lbs and then clean up the diet with a higher carb intake / cycles and roughly 2500 cals/day for an 8 week bulk to try and fill out nicely.

Almost 10 pounds in 2 weeks... got that momentum going, let's get it er'body. Not sure how accurate that 240 is, I feel it should be a bit lower... been a little blocked up the last few days if ya know what I mean but nonetheless I am happy. No weekday drinking, no eating after 9pm (trying to eat earlier as best we can) and getting carbs from proper sources!

Overall a good week, diet was pretty good for meals although hit and miss for drinking and snacking. Workout compliance solid and sleep was ok. Going to need to tighten up on snacking if I'm gonna keep losing ... just trying to do a little better each week.

Joining in late but I love the spirit of this thread.
I've cut out sugar. Watching portions now and really trying to get motivated to hit the gym regularly 3x a week to throw weights back into my life and get a session of stretching (yoga) in 1x a week. (I play sand volleyball semi regularly but.. that's all cardio so I've been pretty soft)

On the road and didn't get to post yesterday, but down 2lbs this week! I'm really happy with the consistency I've been able to maintain while eating a very balanced diet that isn't too restrictive of anything (it's something I can live with for sure).
Amazing job everyone and Johncyr, I can't wait to get off mobile and check out your pic. Fantastic work and very inspirational.

Well this is a first for me I put on 2 pounds. I had myself a cheat day on Saturday where I ate slightly above my maintenance calories but every other day I was at a deficit of -500. I was up to 174 at one point. Ughhhh I was so close to 169
