Loved my scat pack, but it was also the horsepower bug that bit me. Would have kept it if upgrading it would have been worth it.
Now that my driveline is strong enough to handle 1000hp, I'm going to start buying the upper and lower pulleys as well as the E85 conversion stuff in the coming months.
Beadlocks are also ready (my son wouldnt stay away from the wheels. He was obsessed with them)

Once you make the E85 change over, check for apps to your local gas stations that sell it as well as E85prices.com, the former is a good way to look up local pricing directly from the retailer and the latter is a good way to look up what stations are out there. I’ll post on E85Prices when I top off my 200 under the name BJoe there as well, The V6 200s and Avengers were Flex Fuel and the 3.6l is quite fond of the stuff straight from the factory!

THat's what i'm afraid of with the scat. I know it's a lease and it's just a fun car to drive for the next 3 years but i'm thinking if i get the scat, i'm gonna want to do stuff to it. But i feel like if i got the hellcat, i wouldn't touch it because it's already a beast stock. And i know it'll hold me off because it's a daily driver.
Idk what to do now.

I debated on the 300, there were so many good lease deals. I'm talking about 280-320 a month 0 money down. But i figure this is my chance to get a v8 daily again (last v8 daily i had was my LS2 GTO, but it kinda sucked to live with because it was a manual).
I think any new lease i get i'll be happy, because it's a new car. But i know once those few months pass, i might get bored. I want to get into a lease i know i won't be bored in a year or 2 years into the lease.
I have to get a V8. But scat pack or hellcat??????? AHHHHH i don't know!

I was able to pull off a 4.2 second 0-60 with the Crapirellis after a smoky burnout (using line lock was fun as hell). Today, I finally threw on my 305/45/17 ET Street Rs on my S71 Beadlocks.
Stock engine, DSS driveshaft, DIRS brace, 25psi in tires and in Sport Mode. I accomplished a 3.2 second 0-60, didn't do a burnout beforehand.
This is the first time I've ever used drag radials before, and holy crap. Mean Green is a totally different car with proper tires. Straight launches that dont result in swerving, actually biting the road and going. I'm never buying street tires ever again for the rear

Phuck, super jealous.
Dealer didn't want to budge on the used '17 hellcat. A shame since it had 20k miles. But only 2 more years on the power train warranty?
So i think i'm gonna stick with the scat pack. What are you running for front tires? I tried the summer tire front's, DR's rear and it is a bit scary once you past 100mph or so. It's starts to shimmy. That's why people recommended to go with the same tires on all 4 corners. Or maybe this issue is only for my car because of the rake.

Have both.
C8 is not a daily. It "can" be, but very limited, and i'd be paranoid to even try to daily a corvette.
Once i upgrade to the C8Z, will probably be around the time my scat pack lease is about to end (figure 2 years from now?), so we're going to see the next gen charger/challenger stuff right?
Will probably upgrade to a hellcat lease next gen in 3 years. Then i'll have a hellcat daily and a C8Z weekend car.
Life is good to have these problems lol

Stock tires up front. Eventually going to put 285/35 PS4S tires on the front to reduce some weight and get an equal tire diameter for my 305/45s in the back. Cant say I've had that issue.
My hellcat isnt a daily, it's strictly nice weather only. I dont take fast/nice cars out in crappy weather. My hellcat has no rear seats, no either way, I'd only be carrying one other person lol. I have another vehicle for all of my other daily thingsWorst jew in the world.

No, i tried. Was willing to trade the C7Z for one. But everything is sold out. But i could order a 2021 C8 stingray.
But at that time makes no sense as the z06 is coming for the 2022 year. So i'm waiting on that. And by that time i'll have that, then a year later into the new gen hellcat for a daily. That's what i meant.
I want the C8 so phucking bad.

Oh, yeah i agree these cars are nice weather cars. But i'm leasing my dodge so i kinnnnndddaaaa don't care too too much about my lease dailys, i still take care of my cars no matter what. Plus i'm going with the charger 100%. Idk i love that aggressive, big ass sedan styling. And i like the gauges better than the challenger lol.
Yeah i was a dumbass, i ran RF's out front while trying my MT DR's in the rear, for about 2 months. It hooked, which is kinda rare in my car. But once i started to hit 110 or so, it started to shimmy. Chits scary. Then people are like don't run run flats in the front and radials in the rear. I switched it out and it became better but still not as good as running a proper drag setup on all 4 corners. That i didn't do that. Just going by what most have said.
I only want to run a stickier tire for the summer. I'm not dragging the car. The only "perfect" combo i had so far was non runs in the front and R888's in the rear. It hooks. But the longevity and the tire noise those toyo's give you is not that good.

That's what happens when you run bias-ply and radials on the same car. No one makes a decent skinny radial for a wheel that fits on hellcats in the front, so I'm sticking to OEM in the front. My S71s dont look that much different from the 5-spokes, so I'm not worried about appearance

Like most comparisons we've all seen all over the internet, people are comparing a high performance variant to a BASE C8. A BASE stingray.
To make it a fair comparison, they should compare the 2014 stingray to the 2020 stingray, C7 base to C8 base.
They are comparing one of the top tier variants to a base model. That's not an accurate comparison.
For me, i like innovation, and i like what i'm seeing. I don't care for the manual anymore. I love it, but with the technology we have now, i am ready to move on and leave the old school stuff behind. Plus it's a DCT, not a garbage phucking auto GM put in the C7. Such a shame how amazing the z06 and zr1 is, and GM put a garbage auto. They should have at least put the ZF 8 speed. The closest thing to a dual clutch that still has a torque converter.
I love the way my Z looks too. Gets tons and tons and tons of looks everywhere i go. But when the widebody C8 z06 comes into town, trust me it's going to be a whole different ballgame.

Debating on what i wanna do for this summer and possibly next summer (last year with my C7Z?). Should i just continue to run my conti's on all 4 corners or go back with a radial or something in the rear, and a street tire in the front??
I do drive my car all year round lol. Just not when it's snowing obviously. But if the roads are dry, i don't care if it's 10 degrees out, i'm taking it out.

It was addressed in another thread but thought I’d confirm on this one since it’s about my SRT392 challenger.
Yesterday, since it’s been stupidly warm this winter, I went out riding with my father. We did the brake-bedding method where you take it to 60-70 and brake hard to 20mph, like 6-7 times.
Works like a CHARM. Zero noise since. It was like a freaking magic trick. The brembos really do need that once in a while especially if you rarely drive hard.Last edited by Murph0408; 02-23-2020 at 04:06 AM.

I didn't like the C7 either when i had my C6. I complained about how much tighter the cockpit is, i didn't like the tail lights and i didn't like the narrow body (i had a C6 widebody). Funny how history is repeating itself now lol. We have widebody C7's and we're complaining about the C8 narrow body stingray lol.
The C7 eventually grew on me. However i still don't like the tail lights lol. But i didn't want the round tail lights from previous gens, i just didn't like the way it looked, like it has tear drops at the end of them. But overall a badass car.
And i don't see anything wrong with the C8, only because i know the C8Z will look A LOT better. I mean look at how much different our C7Z looks in comparison to the C7 stingray. Stingray looks weak. C7Z looks a ton more aggressive, with the power to back it up.
The C8Z will look insane.

So jealous lol.
Decided on going with the 2020 scat pack instead of a used hellcat. I was looking at a 2017. Warranty was still good for like 2 more years on powertrain but the dealer was asking too much. For that price i might as well lease a new hellcat. But lease programs on hellcats blow right now. So scat pack it is. I'll get the next generation hellcat charger after this lease is done.
I'm leaving my bumper guards on though!! LOL

I bought him from a one plate state, so the dealer didnt add the front plate holder. Luckily the cops in Texas dont really give a **** about the front plates not being on the front
They extended the Power Dollars program to 2020 vehicles. Would sweeten the deal to buy instead of lease.
Take those banana guards off.... it looks dumb and does this:
I left those stupid guards on during the road trip from FL to TX when I bought my hellcat and it was filthy as f**k after 1100 miles under them. I had to detail the splitter a few times before the dirt outline came out.Worst jew in the world.
