My fav tradition is driving through the neighborhoods with my kiddo to see the houses decorated with Christmas lights while listening to Christmas music.

My family always spent Christmas Eve in the living room next to the tree, read from the Bible, a few Christmas books, and sang carols. Always remember that.

My favorite Christmas tradition has always been a pretty simple one -- after opening presents in the morning (which I don't get many of anymore LOL), we usually go to my aunt & uncle's house later on in the evening to eat dinner with my extended family.

So many Christmas's have gone by, and while location has changed, family members have passed, family members moved away, the one Christmas Tradition has been since as far back as I can remember, On Christmas day, opening presents after awaking.

My favorite Christmas tradition is to make cinnamon buns to eat while everyone opens up gifts on Christmas morning. Just a small little thing that my family does each year to make the present opening even more enjoyable. We've been doing this since I was a kid and now we continue to do it each year for my 3 young sons.

My favorite Christmas tradition is actually a Christmas Eve tradition. Ever since I was a kid, my parents, my brother, and I would drive around town and look at Christmas Lights. We always bundled up and took hot cocoa with us. Then we'd come home and watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation before bed. I carried this tradition into my own family now that I have kids and they look forward to it too. I know it sounds like a Brady Bunch episode, but it's a really good memory.

Hanging lights and putting up the tree of course!

And ALWAYS on the day after Thanksgiving! I make it a point to always try to have the best lights on our street!

Other than that... just being together with loved ones each and every year is really my favorite "tradition".

My aunt is from England and always brings Christmas Crackers. They are these tubes you hold with the person next to you, cross armed, and pull apart. There is a firecracker in them that exploded and a toy/puzzle inside that you get. Been doing it for years!

That's a cool cultural tradition that I've never heard of. My neighbor is from England. I'll ask him if he grew up doing that too.

One of my favorite Xmas traditions, which I haven't done in too long, is going to cut down our tree. We used to do it every year with my dad. I always loved smelling the fresh pine in the house.

My favorite tradition is something that I’m trying to hand down to my sons. I can remember growing up helping my dad put Christmas lights up inside the house and outside. Then we would go to my grandmothers and help her put up her Christmas lights. So every year on the Friday after Thanksgiving, my middle school sons know that will be hanging Christmas lights and talking about Christmas! Just trying to keep my sons focused on family and not on materialistic things.

My Christmas tradition is picking out the perfect tree! I love to walk around the the tree farm, cutting and dragging my tree to the car. Having a real tree makes the house smell good too!!

Much like some of the others, we always opened up gifts on christmas eve. We lived in a smaller house with a smaller income to support all 5 of us. But it never changed the excitement of wondering what was under the tree. I have passed that down to my daughter, which she doesn't seem to mind.

Mine was pretty cool. My parents used to film every Christmas morning, my sister and I unwrapping gifts, the family enjoying each other on Christmas. And every Christmas Eve, we would watch all videos from the years prior, starting with the first, and ending with the previous year's Christmas. We'll still do it time to time if were all together. Boy was I a fat ugly kid.
