I wonder if there is a correlation between urban voters being more hooked into propaganda media and how they choose to vote compared to rural voters. There's probably a bunch of different rabbit holes you can go down with regards to personality traits & social surroundings influencing how a person votes. In 2016, we saw a lot of major urban centers favor Hillary significantly whereas a lot of the rural communities favored Trump. I never really dove too deep into that subject before, might check it out.

Urban areas tend to be younger, have more minorities (ethnic, sexual and gender) and a greater concentration of college graduates.

Even when i was democrat for all these years illegal immigration was important in both parties, we want to prevent and cut down illegal immigration, and have people continue to immigrate legally. Wasting it on sanctuary and free food which doesn't solve homelessness. You want to help ppl get in track not have them line up and dependent on you to provide food/shelter. Trump, first time I voted for Hilary. I'm glad this happened I was never into politics but the only reason I opposed trump was because he was not a politician.Everyone around me was saying vote for hilary vote democrat. Yes I am watching commentators bending backwards to say they lost but not really, but Labour still got 30%, they should have taken a firm stand against Brexit instead of being wishy washy about it. This last one in particular makes me scratch my head. Say I am strongly against Brexit. I can vote for a party that absolutely wants Brexit or I can vote for a party that hasn't taken a strong stance either way. I am going to vote for the party that wants Brexit because the other didn't take a stand? How does that even make sense?
My understanding was that Corbin was pushing a very lefty agenda, complete with open borders and the obligatory raising of taxes, so voters gave him the finger.

I was going to vote for Bernie initially, I considered Trump & Bernie to be the result of years of disregarding the Middle Class finally coming back to bite Washington in the ass. Once Bernie bent over like a loyal DNC servant, I went direct to Trump and haven't been too disappointed. He's been an agent of significant change, even making the population woke on the power and manipulation of the media and how far Washington will go to protect itself.

The biggest thing I looked at early on was how the media and Washington was characterizing him during the primaries, I didn't like his brash NYC nature but the fact that he was pissing everyone off really resonated with me, which means you're usually doing something right in that realm. I'll vote for Trump again because of the effect he is having on Washington, and mostly because of his aggressive stance on China. I wouldn't trust America in the hands of anyone else.

Put customers, workers and local politicians on the boards of companies

Re the demographics, this is where it gets interesting and where the DNC in the US should get worried.

Historically, white collar was conservative and blue collar was labour. The middle and the north of england (the ex industrial heartlands) was labour and the south was conservative, then things all changed.

The current crop of leftists claim to be for the workers, whilst never speaking to the workers and spending all their time with their vegan, moccachino drinking, oh so very right on friends in the trendy urban districts.

50 years ago, around 1/3 of Labour candidates were from working class backgrounds, whereas now it's ~1/25.

The unions that backed labour used to be for manufacturing and now they are public sector unions.

The reason that I say the DNC should take note, is that Labour took the working class for granted and just priced their votes in, in the same way that the DNC does with the black vote. Last night saw working class areas that had voted labour in every election for the last 100 years, vote conservative. People had had enough of being taken for granted.

The areas that vote Labour now are the ones with the most minorites/immigrants and the ones that have a visceral, century old hatred for the conservatives (my father voted labour, my grandfather voted labour and my great grandfather voted labour and they would disown me if I voted Tory) and haven't reached the point where they can hold their noses and vote for them yet.
