Not gym equipment related, but I workout in my garage, no heat in the winter. I actuality like it but when it gets in the 20's it can take me a long time to warm up. For the garage home gym crew who do use heaters, any suggestions?

I have two 5000w electric heaters. They are not recommended due to cost to run.
Ideal IMO is a ductless mini-split so you can enjoy the AC in the summer too.
If you only care about heat and you have natural gas, look into running a natural gas line via a licensed plumber and getting a NG heater: https://www.northerntool.com/shop/to...749_200577749?
There are other options like tor**** propane/kerosene heaters...but they should be vented and they need refilling. For those reasons, I nixed them from my search.Garage Gym Owner

I use a torp ed0 propane heater in my garage when it gets below 30 degrees. 150,000 btu. takes about 10 minutes to get it above 50 degrees. I kept a carbon monoxide detector in the garage and it never went off. A standard grill propane tank lasts for about 15-20 uses. Costs me $12 to refill. So that's about 80 cents to heat the garage.
A year earlier I rented and used a kerosene/diesel torp ed0 heater under 3 rental properties that had frozen pipes. You could smell the by products of the combustion in the houses.

I have these 3, turn them on in this order based on how cold it is, garage in MO, not well insulated, as long as I can get it above 30 in the winter, I'm fine. I have a 20 lb tank for my propane, lasts me the whole/most of the winter last 2 years. If I run the propane, usually 20-30 minutes max. It's a large garage, around 1500 sq ft, I don't bother venting, never had an issue.

I run a cheap little electric space heater due to concerns about open flames v. gasoline fumes, & I won't leave it on overnight, so I just get up a little earlier to turn it on. then I bundle up + if it's really cold, I hit the bars I'm going to use with a heat gun, which really helps. If I'm doing something where grip is not important, I sometimes wear gloves until I warm up.

My basement is mostly underground so the temps are pretty well-controlled. The lowest I've seen it get since I put a thermometer down there is 44F with an outside temp of 2F. With that in mind, I just have a single oil-filled electric space heater that I kick on a short time before I head down there.
