125,000 Allied POW’s on the Japanese mainland would have been slaughtered if Japan was invaded. Then there’s this: “Good evening my fellow Americans. I wish to tell you tonight that I spent 2 billion of your dollars on a weapon that could have ended the war but out of my humane concern for the Japanese people, I chose not to use it.” = Harry Truman’s last words before being publicly lynched.
“From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be rememberèd—
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother...”

They would have completely surrendered? Allowed themselves to be occupied by Allied troops, dismantle their military, give up their conquests, etc?
Face it guy, when it comes to this ****, you have no idea what you're talking about.
Let's be glad they surrendered when they did, because otherwise a third one would have been dropped.

No their surrender would have come with some conditions, like keeping the Emperor, not having their islands occupied etc, obviously.
The highest ranking generals of the US military wanted to take that route and were strongly opposed to the use of nukes. I think they knew better than some uneducated **** for brains on the internet in 2019.Misc Crypto Crew

There is no such thing as unconditional surrender. That is why when you surrender, there are terms and conditions. For example, do you think you reserve the right to rape Japanese women? Do you reserve the right to eat their children? There are basic conditions that must always be upheld.
There is also no need for unconditional surrender. When a war is waged, it must be clear what the specific objectives are. If a conditional surrender achieves these objectives, it should be accepted.
