    Has my metabolism adapted?

I've been eating 1500 cals for a few months now, lost 11kg so far and now I havent managed to lose anything in 2 weeks, my weight stayed the same even though i was keeping track of my calories every day. If I wanted to maintain my weight I'd have to eat 2500 I know I ate alot less. So is metabolism adaptation a meme or a real thing
Ive been just making sure my calories fit, obviously I ate some sugar or ****ty food here and there

If you really are eating 1500, stay there another 2 weeks and see what happens. Weight loss isn’t linear. If no loss after 2 more weeks adjust your diet or activity.

I think its pretty obvious and good common sense that our metabolisms adapt (slow down) as we lose weight.

Even your "maintenance" calories adapt. If your maintenance cals were 2500 before and u now lost 11kg, they aint 2500 anymore lol. Your maintenance calories will have dropped some too

there r various strategies people try if/when weight loss stalls. 1) eat less, or increase activity. 2) try a diet break

how much do you weigh now?

Maintenance drops about 100 cals a day with every 10 lbs of loss due to you hauling less weight around all day. If you’re not dropping cals as you lean out you’ll stall so drop as you progress and you’ll get through your cut a lot faster
If you don't get what you want you didn't want it bad enough

if you stall for 2 weeks you’ve BEEN on a diet break. Breaks can be mentally refreshing after a very long deficit phase with a major amount of fatloss, however
