I say this with honestly not trolling OP... I believe the bears wish Mitch would go down with a serous injury so their decision is made for them and they don’t have to hand him a big contract. They know he can never lead this team to a title but are afraid they are going to get sucked in like a lot of these teams do and end up like the bengals.

The really impressive accomplishment for Mitch from this game is that he went from dead last in Y/A at 33 all the way up to tied for dead last with Mason Rudolph at 32.
