I'd reckon it is if you hustle.

Lay off the booze and smoke, focus on fitness/nutrition/finances. By the time you're in your 30s you'll be a lean, mean, financially savvy machine.

    I want answers too.

I’m tired of being in this miserable grey area with these young fckn stupid sloots where i either have to be some weed smoking jobless entertainment clown to get laid, or just be “corny” for focusing on the long game and not acting like a degenerate.

I take pretty good care of myself. I’m 26 but everyone mistakes me for 19. never done drugs, rarely drink, fresh faced.

I’m pretty sure this theory is half true. If you grind like a mofo in your 20’s to free up time in your 30’s to have hobbies and money to do sht then of course you’ll bag a couple chicks younger than you
Manifest your destiny you limp dick mouth breather

Only if you actually work toward it. It's not enough to just do the minimum required and expect your situation to dramatically improve. You might get promoted here and there if your workplace places enough value on years of experience but that's about it. Your looks will go to **** if you don't hit the gym and eat properly, you'll go forever alone if you don't maintain your current relationships while looking for new ones, your assets won't acumutale if you don't invest, etc.

Your 30's will be awesome if you actually do what you're supposed to do. Otherwise you will turn into one of the miscs numerous bitter incels who failed at life "because they are too smart for our society".

If you do things correctly in your 20s to set up the future, yes. I basically live the life of someone who is 25, but with enough money to finance any impulse I could possibly have. Last week I bought a plane ticket to Thailand leaving in 10 days, and I plan to stay at least 3.5 weeks.

Obviously having a lot of money at 25 would have been better, because it’s true that you have to get better at making new friends or acquaintances in your 30s if you want to keep doing that chit. But there aren’t many people at 25 who have both lots of money and free time.

IMO 30s is better than 20s, and 40s is better than 30s.
But you gotta get clear on what YOU actually want and what's actually gonna make YOU happy in life. Cos you grow up and get conditioned to think certain things = happiness IF you can accomplish them... and (a) they might not be achievable, and (b) a lot of people who do achieve them eventually realise they're unfulfilled anyway because their life has been 60 hours a week to pay for **** they don't really need and come home to a person they don't actually like all that much.

Start figuring out what would actually make YOU happy and work on that.
IMO it probably has less to do what things you need to accomplish, and more to do with realising what stuff you don't care much about and don't need to be pressured to pursue.

It depends on what better/peak means to you. You’ll become more insightful as you get older. If you maintain a positive mindset you’ll be happy. Life is what you make it and you get what you put in. If you don’t like where you’re at you have the ability to change it. Don’t even trip dude.

    I am soon 29.

You will never re-experience the pure happiness of being 1-25 srs Everyone I see who is 28+ is just coping. Hoping for the boss to announce the next after work beer run so they dont have to go home and rot. The only ones who seem to be somewhat OK is the ones with kids, but even they open up after a few drinks..

Nothing gets better unless you make it get better. You don't just magically wake up one day and have life on easy mode, I think that's a big mistake a ton of people make is blindly living life hoping things will change randomly. The real winners are the ones that know they're phucked to begin with unless they do something about their chit life 100% themselves to change it for the better. Allot of the time it takes big balls because with no risk there's no reward. Usually you'll have to put yourself in temporarily uncomfortable spots and you're still going forward a little blindly but you're doing something about it to make things better and you're going about it in a well planned out, calculated manner.

Most people over complicate things because of all the bullchit we're fed every day. Like your friends buying expensive cars instead of investing their money. That's one of the many mistakes people make in their life...Having awful money management knowledge. You need to gain that knowledge and put it to good use. You gotta educate yourself, learn from your mistakes and other people's mistakes, have self control, think of yourself from a 3rd party perspective like you're in a video game so you can make non-emotional decisions that in the end will make life better and easier for yourself.

I turn 32 this year, so I can't speak for the next few years but I'll be totally honest in my review of life up until this point.

Your 20s are the ****. You can go out and party and not be judged, no girl at the bar is off limits, all your friends are into having fun and you have a whole life ahead of you. You feel young and optimistic about the future, it's easy to manage friends and work and money and all that. It's just a good time.

Your 30's really depend on you. Worst(ish) case - maybe you have a few kids with random baby mamas and no solid job. You're a loser. Maybe you used to be cool but let yourself go from the partying. Best (realistic) case, you are still in shape and have a good job. I'm not talking about CEO 10k/day crew, obviously their lives are different. But I'll use me as an example, I'm 31, make well over six figures a year, have a condo on the beach, and I'm still in shape and drink fairly often. I seriously love my life. I'm having the most fun I've had in my life, mostly due to the amount of free cash flow I have now. But would I love to go back to my 20's? Duh. I want a family, I know I need to settle down in the next 5ish years and hopefully get a girl who I match with perfectly and is 8 years younger than me. But that's just not a reality. Also, while I used to have a ton of social circles to meet girls through, now I have like 2. It makes things harder. The girls within a few years of me are easier than ever, but is that who I want to fuk? No, honestly. They're just looking to settle down, and quality girls are harder to find. I can still smash the mid 20 girls easy, but most of them are dumb and already started their decline.

So girl wise, smashing is easier, but it's more meaningless and I'd honestly rather fap most nights than meet new girls to smash (I live walking distance from a really nice downtown beach area). Money wise, I have seriously 0 stress, which is nice. If I wanted to fly to Rome tomorrow, all I'd have to do is put in the time off and go, I probably wouldn't even notice the money missing from my bank account (I'd just think the market had a bad day). So that's fukin cool. Knowing you realistically only have a few more years of being able to smash decent looking girls sucks though.

So basically, your 30's are what you make of them, stay in shape and be smart financially and they will be fun, but to say they're better than your 20's is dumb. If you're a 20 something wondering about this, just look back on your teens. Some people probably had more fun in their teens right? Some peaked then. Some peak in their 20's, some peak in their 30's. But overall, it's hard to replicate and enjoy your youth in the same way.

I've literally never had so many good times as I've had in my 30's. I've succeeded financially, have my dream job(s), have basically 0 stress in my life, etc. But I would go back to my 20's in a heartbeat if I could. Getting old sucks, that's a fact. If you're not happy in your 20's, you probably won't be happy in your 30's, so work on what makes you happy, while still planning for happiness in your future, but don't sacrifice current happiness for happiness in your future.

i reckon it does not depend on age. alexander owned everybody in his 20s. scipio became a general at like 21 and wrecked hannibal,i could go on.

the people saying it does get better are coping imo. when really, it gets better whenever you want it to because a successful person in his 20s destroys the whole hypothesis and at that point its cope and cognitive dissonance

“They [the Roman voters] looked round at the countenances of their most eminent men…and muttered bitterly that their affairs were in so ruinous a state that no one dared take command in Spain.” Spotting a unique opportunity, Scipio declared himself a candidate, though at 24 he was not officially old enough for the post. Age notwithstanding, he was unanimously elected.

yep. And the 20s are when most people can take bigger financial risks. You can’t do that **** and lose at 45 without being ****ed.

Does it really get better with all the problems we are facing in the west alone?

also make sure you take steps in your 20s so when you get to your 30s you at least have some of that if not all of that.

not 30 yet but a man’s body deteriorates significantly after age 30. the mind stays sharp till age 60 though then it starts to decline. age 30 is preparing physically for death, age 60 is mental preparation (assuming you live that long).

    Can confirm.

Life is like a movie. At a certain point, you’re just ready for it to be over.

There’s a sing lyric that goes “Oh yeah, life goes on... long after the thrill of living is gone.” It’s accurate in my experience.

life gets better when you stop bitching and start doing what you really want to do and no having a nice car or a nice house a hot young chick isn't going to make you happy unless you're just a superficial scumbag even then it will get old trust me. Desire is the root of all suffering and Instagram is bullchit designed to make you jealous or feel less significant it's all empty in the end. Life gets better when you wise up and realize what's most important to you and what makes you better as a human being are in line with each other. That is to say life gets better when you realize what matters most in life and it's not some stupid car some big ass house or some young ditzy sloot that's all empty bullchit.

Of course if that's what motivates you sure go for it but you could just be chasing dreams and coming up short every time because there is no limit to desire just look at all the rich phucks they only want to get richer and richer but yet they are never fulfilled and most of them are completely empty inside that's why they have to keep filling their lives up with material values. Desire is the root of all suffering.

Plenty of days where getting out of bed feels worse in your thirties.

I'm 37 now. To Me it was the coulda/woulda/shoulda times. One kid in my late 20's and one at 31. The kids are great this age. Not too old to not want to hang out with Dad but old enough they have friends houses to go to and we actually get some time to ourselves. Also they're both in school so the wife and I can get stuff done before we pick them up.

Cons: you're basically stuck. Any move you make will affect more than just you. Can't move across the country on a whim since it'll affect the wife, kids without them really being on board. Can't quit your job unless you're certain you can keep everyone financially afloat

Me personally, I've been looking at jobs in VA and SC. Haven't been able to apply due to an injury. It's a job I really want to do but my wife and kids do not want to leave the left we set up over 11 years in CO. I'd also take well over a 50% pay to start at the bottom again which pushes stress into my wife to find a high paying job. I'm not in those times before kiss where we could up and move away. I often think how things woulda been different had I not moved even one of the three times I have wouoda been had I stayed in PA and stuck out the job search there instead of moving, stayed with the one girl instead of breaking up with her (I swear, everytime the misc asks about the most sexual girl I've been with, or the slootiest thing a chick has done to you, my answer is always about her)

Pros are an amazing family, great kids who I love hanging out with, great wife who approaches that girl's level of fun in bed. Basically a comfortable life surrounded by people who care about me.

    You'll figure it out

Most guys decline hard because of their soulless job imo.

Biggest thing: stay fit and train. Don't binge on alcohol as much as in your early 20's.

Money is just money at the end of the day, I'd rather work a few days less/month than earn a couple of more bucks to buy more material bull****. Find out what the ideal work/life balance is for you personally. Some people get by with part time jobs and are much happier than the full time suckers who at the end of the day still aren't close to rich.

And if you don't have a GF by your late 20's or 30's, pepper ur angus for the social pressure of you needing to "settle down", "buy a house",...

That's another thing, we don't live in the same age as our parents, adapt to the reality of the modern world. That means, for a lot of guys they will stay single probably but imo that's not a bad thing considering what the west and how women are these days. Look at bright side of this, means less financial stress and a freedom to do what you want.

    This.

And to Opie: no, your 30s are not some magical decade where everything turns out great. Your 30s, if anything, are the product of what came before it. In fact, this applies to every decade of your life as you get older.

I’ve made such a fuk up of my life that the odds are good that the remaining years of my 30s will be kinda chitty, but if I play my cards right, my 40s might be halfway decent.

The dude I quoted above nailed it in the first sentence though - get your working life in order, because it’s the backbone of everything. Work towards a job/career that you at least kind of enjoy and pays half decently.
