It’s not ideal but how bad is working out fasted? Looking at reasons why I miss sessions and it’s because work. So to combat thinking about lifting before work. Thing is I start work at 8.
Alternatively how would you Setup your nutrition if you are up @5 and lifting before work?
Thanks

Personally, I always workout fasted in the morning. All I need is my caffeine. In fact, I find that I do worse if I workout after I eat for some reason.
I think it's more about personal preference vs being ideal or not.Calls 'em like I sees 'em Crew

Yes, it really comes down to personal preference. You'll have to experiment a bit to see what works best for you.
For me, I have no problem doing an upper body workout first thing in the morning without eating. Lower body or full body, I need to have eaten and been up and moving a bit longer.
As for nutrition, having a snack before bed can help you feel better for a early workout.

I'm up at 4:15 am have some caffeine and a small amount of protein (they are prepared the night before) and I start working out at 5:00am. Out of the gym by 6:20 and at work by 7:45. Because I start the day this way I can consistently go to the gym. When I tried afternoon workouts I could not be consistent. Fasted workout or a small meal is a personal preference. Of the regulars that are in my gym every morning at 5am they all do something slightly different before working out related to food.
