Pelosi had bad approval ratings. Push baseless impeachment with her at the head is idiotic. The only people who want this are the MSNBC/AOC crowd and they are just a slice of the electorate. Just LOL at "This isn't about polticis.", does she think anyone buys that?

she is cracking
Pelosi's presser ended with a tense exchange when a reporter shouted “Do you hate the president?” as she was leaving.
In a rare display of anger, she marched back to the podium: “Don't mess with me when it comes to a word like that.”

Impeached for less? Clinton committed perjury which is an actual crime.
That being said, I was against the Clinton impeachment at the time. The GOP was acting in a similar fashion as the Democrats are today. A big difference, though, was the fact that the GOP wasn't screaming about impeachment in 1992 when Clinton was elected, before he even did anything.Calls 'em like I sees 'em Crew

Isn't it interesting how the two sides have completely different opinions on how a Senate trial will turn out? For Trump supporters, I assume they believe that getting the Biden's, WB, and Schiff to testify will show that the Biden's are corrupt and that Schiff and the WB colluded to set this whole thing up.
From a liberal perspective, if Mulvaney, Pompao, etc are compelled to testify, it defies logic to us how this could possible turn out well for Trump. Otherwise he'd have run them over to the Hill to testify already.
Regardless it really shows how we all perceive our own reality when it comes to politics these days. Conservatives were talking about a red tsunami in 2018, and hold on to the fact that Rs gained 2 seats in the senate when y'all know darn well that D's were at a massive disadvantage in the Senate elections.
Like how I believed the polling in 2016 and thought Trump had almost no chance to win. I couldn't for the life of me understand how anyone could vote for the turd.
Fascinating.Early AM workout crew.

yeah was having this discussion yesterday with some friends at happy hour, who believe it or not feel that I am sorta liberal...with 24/7 media and social media and the sheer amount of information out there, both sides have their own little confirmation bias bubbles they can safely live in and as such are seemingly living in 2 different realities.

this is why im such a pessimist. this is a problem that transcends this impeachment circus. people are so thoroughly and blindly entrenched behind their biases that they seem incapable of a rational thought. facts seem to have little to no value anymore. when dems and republicans are locked into a perpetual war of attrition, everyone loses. imagine if both sides actually put this much effort into doing something beneficial for americans. the two party system is a complete failure.O|||||||O

Politics has always been fractured and divisive in America. Just look up old political cartoons and newspaper ads. It's always been a back and forth between Liberalism & Conservatism. Immigration have always been a platform, socialist vs capitalist policies have always been a platform, etc etc. If we were able to come together for the benefit of America, we wouldn't need any political parties.
