    Stiffest Wrist Wraps?

I have a wrist injury I am trying to work around, currently have a pair of basic wrist wraps and I just double up on the injured wrist but I have a feeling I could get something nicer that would provide more support. Any suggestions?

The most supportive option is going to be a medical brace to immobilize, but you probably shouldn't be lifting if you need that. You could tape it plus the wrap.

Get longer wraps too for more support. I use Inzer but no idea what is best now (light years better than Rogues stuff thought...dedicated PL gear is what you want).

I'll assume you know what you're doing in reference to rehab.

    I'd suggest "cheaper junk" wraps.
    https://harbingerfitness.implus.com/...pro-wristwraps

I've got a pair I use occasionally, close to 30 years old. Long, thin and stretchy but pulled completely taught will wrap around wrist 6-7 times and basically forms a solid cast.

I would say pioneer wrist wraps
They are stiff as hell and they come in different lengths
I have 2 pairs .Short and long .So far never had to use the long ones as short ones are stiff enough rather too stiff sometimes
    I don’t have wrist issues

The stiffest, cast style wraps were likely the old APT Strangulator and Convict Pros. My go-to was the Convicts and these and the Strangulators were the best wraps made. I believe someone said that Pioneer is making these old APT wraps under different names now. The black and white stripes were the Convict Pros, and the grey and black stripes were the Strangulators.

vhd16 and MGM711, agreed. I have a pair of the gray and black strangulators back when they were APT and they are solid as a cast (should I ever need to use them for any lifts, I've tried them on a few occasions and they work great, but I never really needed them just yet).

To any owners of the APT wrist wraps, don't try and type in the old website on the wraps (I didn't know Pioneer started renaming them at the time and the previous site is linked to a virus page).

Thanks guys, I think I am going to try some of the gray and black Pioneer/strangulators. The doc told me I could keep lifting as long as it didn't hurt so those should definitely give me enough support to do some of the stuff I am struggling with currently.

What exactly is the story behind Pioneer and the old APT line of wraps? Were they always making them, or did they re-release them after APT went under? I still have a set of Convict Pro wrist wraps that are over 10 years old and still going great.

Just my .02, the Stangulators are stretchier than the Convicts, not by a lot, but noticeable. If you're looking for a cast fit, Convicts are the way to go. Stangulators I found had to be wrapped tight all the time to work whereas you didn't have to lockdown the Convicts to get the support since the material was thicker and stiffer.

Thanks for the info, I already ordered the Strangulators but if I need something heavier I'll get the Convicts. I don't put up that much weight with exercises I need these for, my bench is the weakest of all my lifts and I figure the Strangulators will likely be infinitely better than what I have now, especially with the 36" version.

Yes, Pioneer always made them. They've been manufacturing belts and wraps as a wholesaler for other companies for several decades.

No after a while apt fot them from Pakistan. Pioneer did make them for apt before that. And once apt went under they started carrying those wraps again.

These are far the stiffest out there http://www.darksydegear.com/details.asp?ID=35
Maybe to stiff but if you like supreme......
They do have a good range of wraps with varying stiffness.
Me I like my knee wraps stiff but my wrist wraps not so stiff. Been using the overkill wrist wraps when benching in a shirt.
Still using the violators for knee wraps
