    For every health claim there is counter data calling bull****. Idk if they do or don’t I just know what I’ve experienced. Using a personal sauna that I nuke myself at 150 for 30 min has removed or helped with muscle soreness. I’ve added it to my nightly stretching routine and it has helped with flexibility as well. I have yet to see hard and clear data on any other benefits.

    I feel amazing after using a sauna for 10-15 minutes post-workout and cold shower straight after. I think it helps me with muscle soreness as well, as for other benefits I’m not sure nor do I care a lot.

    I try to do 20 minutes a day at least 4x per week. Alzheimer's runs in my family so whatever can help I'm going to do it. Gma is in a home and can't do anything and doesn't know who anyone is anymore. I don't want to go out like that.



    Edit: I know the video says exercise mimetic but that's only part of it. 40% decrease in all cause mortality when you use a 174 degree sauna for 20 minutes 4-7x per week. 60% decrease (if I remember correctly) in dementia/alzheimers, spikes hgh, and other **** I can't remember.

    Dunno about sauna but since I’ve started using steam room daily after swimming, working out, or rolling I’ve noticed a lot of my back acne has cleared up.

    I have a steam shower, I use it here and there after a workout or if something is really sore. Its been shown that heat applied to a sore muscle helps increase blood flow and relax the muscle. No reason it wouldnt help, but the usual thing is to apply heat for 15 min on and 15 min off to get a real effect so not sure a 15 min session in a sauna would do much for a seriously sore muscle.

    I use the sauna about 4-5 times per week, post workout for about 10 minutes. Absolutely LOVE it and definitely buy the fact that it reduces muscle soreness. Outside of that, I really have no idea.

    Interesting, I wonder what the differences are for people who live in colder climates vs hotter and the effects of it in that case? like does it work more or less for people who are used to living in cold temps etc

    Interesting. What do you think the evolutionary reasoning is for this? I know some cultures have sauna-culture, but that's not that common I don't think. And then there's also a lot of benefits from cold exposure. Pretty interesting. I don't sauna, no access to one, but I take cold showers often.

    problem is the gym i lift has not a sauna and if i want to it
