    Body type/composition

    Is it odd that being a mix of a mesomorph and endomorph that Im noticing muscle gain, and only have been bulking for a month? So far ive gained maybe 3 to 4 pounds, and my arms and neck look bigger, minimal fat gain as well

    Somatotypes are not a useful concept - they have largely been discredited as a scientific idea and don't inform us on how to structure diet or training.

    1 month is a short time for muscle gain - you could be reacting to inflammation and increased glycogen storage. It's also hard to tell if you've gained fat or not.

    All you can really do is work over much longer timescales and use weight, measurements and strength levels as a guide.
