Are bcaa's a good natural addition during cutting?

My gym had some cheap bcaa, but I didn't buy any.

Is it a good, natural supplement during cutting? I don't really want to hop on lots of gear or anything: creatine is the only thing I take. (And caffeine pills pre-workout.)

I always heard bcaa is kind of overhyped. What do you think?

I am currently cutting hard (with lots of cardio) and just lifting to maintain muscle.

No its pointless if you are consuming adequate protein from multiple different sources as BCAA is just 3 of the 9 essential amino acids namely leucine, isoleucine and valine. They are important but a varied diet of protein sources and adequate protein (see stickies for minimum requirements) will ensure all three are hit without any need for extra supplements.

The only way I can think it would be useful is if you are one not eating enough protein or second a very limited menu from a restrictive diet such as veganism.
