    Amount of protein per hour

Hi guys! Beginner here, just curious what your thoughts were on the amount of usable protein your body can use per hour. I have read several studies that say the max you can utilize per hour is 20-25 grams. In your experience is this true? If this is the case how in the hell am I supposed to take in 1 1/2 to 2 grams per pound a day. For me that’s between 300-400 grams per day. If I want 400 grams of protein and I’m awake 16 hours a day I’ll have to take in 25 grams every hour to get to 400. That can’t be right.....
Please help me figure this out!

No, it’s bollocks. 50g or so protein in a chicken breast - do you think your body digests half and ignores the rest?

Work our your daily protein needs (around 1g/lb bodyweight) per day and aim for it.

    No.

Layne Norton has some good videos/posts about protein intake and protein spacing throughout the day, worth checking them out.

Don't stress the timing that much. There's good evidence that spreading it throughout the day is optimal in terms of MPS, but it's certainly not as extreme as every hour.

^^ also that. 2g is like the absolute upper limit that anyone would ever recommend for anyone, and only if that person was an olympic-level athlete training 6 hours a day lol

No, that's a bunch of crap. Eat your food when you want to or have the time. What really matters is your total for the day, each day.

No, don't eat 300-400 grams of protein per day. 0.7 grams per lb of bodyweight is enough. Up it to 1g if you want to go bro.
