    Best recovery method for soreness?

What is the best recovery method for soreness whether it's ice baths, contrast showers, foam rolling or some kind of supplement? I read something that some "study" says ice baths may hinder muscle growth, don't know how true that is. Thanks!

There isn't a lot you can do - other than structure your training so that you don't train a muscle group too infrequently (should be around 2x a week ideally). In the first week or so, you just have to put up with soreness until you start adapt to the training.

The soreness eventually will fade and shouldn't be used as your only gauge for whether or not you got a good workout. Hydrate more than normal and do some light rep work to drive extra blood into the sore muscles to help them stay warm and heal more quickly. I've heard eating bananas or foods with extra potassium can help too, but these have only been anecdotal claims that I've never looked into that much. If it's bothersome enough take some aleve or something to minimize inflammation and reduce pain, but typically I try to enjoy the soreness and do some stretching and light reps to help.

Have you also considered turmeric for supporting a healthy inflammation response overall?

Getting plenty of sleep and resting your body may be the most effective treatment.

Rest is most important, if you wanna get healed quickly. Other things like foam rolling and ice therapy is also beneficial
