    How Can I Upgrade or Add A SSD or Regular Drive

    I have an Acer Predator Helios 500 PH517-61-R0GX Gaming Laptop, AMD Ryzen 7 2700 Desktop Processor, AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 Graphics, 17.3" Full HD 144Hz Radeon FreeSync Display, 16GB DDR4, 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD, how can I Add Additional internal Storage SSD OR Regular drive? Looking to buy Seagate Brand at Microcenter. Reps for any help on what to get!

    some cliffs:

    first you have to figure out if your laptop supports a second drive. if not, then you can either use an external for storage, or replace your current one with a larger nvme drive. you can currently get a 500gig samsung 970 evo on amazon for $80 and 1tb for $150. both very good prices. the drive isn't the latest version, but it's still one of the fastest available.

    if you're replacing the nvme drive, then you'll probably have to clone the old drive onto the new one, which is gonna require a nvme usb enclosure to copy the files. your other option is to use some regular external flash drive, create a windows installer on it, and reinstall everything onto the new drive.
