Hello,
I have been thinking about taking pre-workout occasionally for when I workout in the mornings due to less time sleeping sometimes.
Someone said that this was a good format for finding a pre-workout, so:
How much caffeine can you tolerate?
I can drink 3 to 4 cups of coffee a day and be fine, but I am not a regular coffee drinker, maybe 2-3 times a month.
Do you want one with creatine?
No
Do you want a stim bomb?
I don't know what this is even after looking it up.
Do you want something for pumps?
I don't care if it would give me a pump, but if it is not unhealthy, then that would be fine.
Do you want an all-rounder?
Something that will give me energy to workout.
What have you tried before?
I tried a generic one from GNC and it make me feel like pins and needles, which was fine after I got used to it.
What did you like about them?
They do not stain teeth like coffee, otherwise I would just drink coffee.
What did you hate?
That some of the bottles contain very few servings < 10.
What flavours do you like?
I tried cherry limeade and it was okay
What price range?
Nothing above $30

I like this format. I've never used pre-workout stuff, but never really knew where to begin. Currently, I have a large latte that I mix with creatine. Suppose it's better than nothing.

Personally, I'd look for whatever has the most caffeine and then just change how much you take based on how much you need--stretches it out a bit more. For example, mine has 400mg per scoop. I very rarely feel the need to full scoop, so I do a half. That brings it from 30 servings per container to 60, but the price is the same as if I bought one that just has 200mg per scoop anyways.

I just tried Cutler Prevail recently and really like it, its slightly over $30 but you get 40 servings per container, and you can stretch that out a lot further if you can get away with using half a scoop.
All it takes is consistency, effort, proper nutrition, good programming, and TIME.
Don't be upset with the results you didn't get from the work you did not do.

I used to use preworkouts and think they do a great job. But if you're just looking for energy, go for Caffeine tabs. That's what I've been using since the past couple of years. Does the job. I pair it with a standalone Citrulline supplement occasionally for pumps.
Caffeine tab brands I recommend: Kaged Muscle (200mg Caffeine), Allmax (200mg Caffeine) and MuscleTech (225mg - currently using).
Citrulline (for pumps): Kaged Muscle
If you still want a preworkout, I recommend Blue Star PPK. A little expensive but they do a 50% off quite often.
