I would say... as I bring up every Thanksgiving, that the most underrated "cheat" meal for the day of giving thanks is STUFFING! No respect except for 1 day a year... but it is fantastic. Never overrated, and always tasty. Turkey is just the vehicle to get some gravy on the plate... but stuffing always rocks the most space on my plate.

Turkey done by my Dad on the pellet grill. Any kind of sweet potatoes. Pie! Cheesy potatoes.
We go back to my home town on Friday for the "Holiday Stroll" which kicks off the Christmas season. Lights up. Reindeer rides, pictures with Santa, sleigh rides. The kids love it, and I enjoy it too!

Man.... well this year T-day has already come and gone.... so I will say this........... FRIED EFFIN TURKEY, Ive been frying them for the past few years and its fumazing!!! Also Granny's cornbread dressing (god rest her soul)....... so dam good too!!
Oh here ya go...
Of course.... after that came more yummy stuff...
Jr's cheesecake..... YUM (no pic of that as it didn't really have a chance to sit long enough for a pic).
I rest my case........Salty.......... like Extra salty.......

I would say my favorite cheat dish is the desert my wife makes. She takes pumpkin bread she makes by hand, chops it in to slices, and then mixes it with bourbon and whip cream. Called Pumpkin Trifle or something. I have her make me my own batch lol

Id say training on thanksgiving is a tradition. I've been doing it since at least sixteen years now. I go to a twenty four seven key access gym and not overdo eating at about two pm. After that Ill train, then eat some more thanksgiving food.

I honestly love all the traditional Thanksgiving food: turkey, stuffing, pumpkin pie, mashed tatoes and gravy. Also love going to my grandmas for it every year, she won't be around for too much longer so it's nice to see her when I can. My mother always makes the best baked mac and cheese so I'm looking forward to that. Super stoked for the most epic cheat day of the year. I'm usually very strict on my calorie intake but I will always allow for this one day to just let loose and be with family.

For me, the best part of Thanksgiving would have to be not just the good, but the desserts in particular. There's nothing like having a huge selection of desserts laid out on a table to indulge in after an awesome meal.

I don't care about the cheat meals, its that fresh dark meat turkey that I love. I don't care its full of protein, its like some of those that wait all year for the McRib, dark meat turkey is my bane.

I love the whole meal, but since I get a pretty regular dose of poultry throughout the year eating clean, its all about the sides and desert.
In order of awesomeness:
Apple and Pumpkin Pie
Stuffing
Mashed Sweet Potato with marshmellow and brown sugar.

My favorite part about the Cheat meal holiday is the time spent with Family as that is always number one on my list of anything! But my favorite dish is anything sweet potato. Get some brown sugar and marshmallows on that baby and you are golden! We dont really have any family traditions on this day. But i always hit the gym so i guess i have my own. I absolutely love getting together with family for thanksgiving! I am going to 3 thanksgivings so will have to control my urge to eat EVERYTHING! Gotta love turkey(dark meat), green bean casserole and excited to try a smoked apple pie for the first time this year. I hope it turns out good
