Apparently 200,000 people did.

I agree....I think you made a good choice.
We have a 2005 Tacoma with about 92K on it and has had impeccable maintenance throughout it's life with us.
"Bullet proof" is how I would measure them.
That Cybertruck would be hell to park anywhere....unless one just bullies' there way in somewhere, takes up (3) spaces or parks on top of other vehicles.
Back to it....hope all are doing well.USMC: 1965-1969

None in my future either
You can't go wrong with Toyota, when I was buying my first ATV I asked a lot of questions and an old guy said to me, just look at the oldest machines you see in the bush still running, they are almost all Honda's, Buy Honda, the same can be said of Toyota's, there are still 80's Toyota 4 runners being used as bush trucks. You just can't kill them. The Tacoma is a sweet vehicle.Air Force Veteran 1976 - 1999 - Cannabis Enthusiast since the 1960's

Back to the future DeLorian / mad Max / Lego mashup = CyberTruck
Hey, wait a minute, they've done Lego Jurassic park, Lego Batman, Lego this, lego and that, but wait --> Lego Mad Max.. Now there's a whole remake genre, maybe this will be in the cinemas 2021?
Like a pyramid investment scheme can only function whilst it continues to grow, the confidence trickster pretending to be the far-ahead genius needs to keep doubling the stakes/ante. Could it be he *had* to get this weird to keep the image rolling?
Anyway... I can't decide if this is the moment that Elon has finally completely flipped out or not.

Not to worry. He doesnt have to sell any to make a profit. Our tax dollars are propping them up. They will just take a bit more out of our checks to make sure they stay in business.

I'd grab a Model 3 if I could, but I don't think I'd be in the market for this truck real soon. Still, I'd be curious to see how they hold up from the 200,000 people who buy them and use them for a few years. They may be better than some of you expect.

200,000 people put a REFUNDABLE hundred dollar deposit on car that likely wont ship till 2021. And if experience shows, Tesla will stuggle to ship close to 100k a year. In the mean time Ford and GM will sell over a million pickup trucks each between now and then.
The cybertruck looks like an updated pontiaz Aztek.
I'll become a believer when Sam Elliott buys one for his ranch

And whether you like the shape or not, apparently the aerodynamics are quite good.
