Diet Dr. Pepper is a good alternative when I get tired of water and iced tea. I think that the carbonation likely helps you feel a bit more full.

Personally I see no reason why you can't its just not nutritional. From a body composition standpoint if it has no calories and you don't eat more calories for whatever reason it is perfectly fine.

All the research I have read about artificial sweeteners and weight management are mixed and inconclusive. The theme seems to be suggest that no cause and effect exists its more of relational with people who drink lots of fizzy drinks generally eat more calorie dense food. Therefore its not the drink the causes the problem its the lifestyle of the individual in question.

As for health the results are also mixed but of course excessive amounts of anything can be detrimental to your health.

Yup. Diet Pepsi is my go-to.

It's not inherently bad, though I wouldn't go replacing your water intake with Diet Coke

Yep, when cutting I drank a ton of diet soda. Now I'm bulking, I still have a glass or two but not as much.

When I go to the all you can eat Chinese buffet I've stopped drinking soda then because it interferes with how much I can eat :-)

Sparkling water, I like the plain, but there are other flavors. I love the stuff.
