    Champagnes with Round Plated Dumbbells

I've recently joined a new gym and they have these Troy plated dumbbells with round plates. The problem I'm having with champagnes is keeping the dumbbells together through the lift without them slipping, I'm used to using the standard hex dumbbells which stay still through the lift. I'm using the 45's right now, so there's only two small plates, not much to lean against. They manage to slip from each other just about every lift, which seems dangerous as well as ineffective since I'm constantly re-positioning them. Does anyone have any tips on keeping the dumbbells together or is there another workout I could be doing to hit my inner chest other than diamond push ups?

There are other exercises you can do. I will say this is the first time I have heard of champagnes and I had to youtube it. Do regular dumbbell bench presses and then for inner chest do cable flyes as that allows tension as you fully adduct your arms across your chest. That's one example.

try ez-bar with close grip, or cables, or use plates with no bar? I have never done Prosecco (or was it champagne LoL) but there is nothing specific about dumbbells, it is just resistance.
