Chick-Fil-A said on Monday that it has stopped funding two Christian charities after coming under fire in recent weeks from LGBTQ activists.
The fast-food chain’s foundation has donated millions of dollars to The Salvation Army and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Both organizations have a history of opposing same-sex marriage.
Chick-fil-A said it no longer funds the organizations.
“We made multi-year commitments to both organisations and we fulfilled those obligations in 2018,” a spokeswoman for Chick-fil-A told the Thomson Reuters Foundation, adding the company would focus its giving on “education, homelessness and hunger.

I'll need to learn more about what's going on but if Chick-Fil-A abandons us and joins the enemy then it's simply no more Chick-Fil-A for many of us.
They weren't all they great anyway. The only reason I and many people I know patronized them was their pro-Christian support. If that's gone then they'll dry up like a rag around here. I guess we'll see where they stand ...

Chik fil A would be wise to donate to politically neutral charities tbh. Now they have to choose which "side" they support. As a business, you never want to exclude customers. It pays to NOT commit to a political stance and to just be as inclusive and fair as possible. Basically, make it clear you will serve lgbt and not discriminate, but don't draw attention to it or make an overt gesture in support of exclusively lgbt chit.
Take gilette as an example. Most ppl didn't give a chit about gilette's politics before. People just knew them as the company they bought razors from. Didn't matter what group you belonged to...but their ad campaign made tons of men hate them.
