    It's not a lot of weight, okay it's very light, however Form > Weight.

    If your form sucks, loading up the bar and doing 1/4 squats is only going to feed your ego. If your form is good, even if it's light weight, you will make the gains and given time you will be putting up more weight.

    I wouldn't worry about it. Your form was soft, you probably listened too much to aviless redditors in the misc sneering at any squat below 315 and thought you needed to add more and more weight to maintain that stupid fraud standard of strength. In reality, go to any commercial gym in this country - the number of guys who squat 315 with halfway decent form is few and far between.

    Today you squatted with good form (at least you claim) or you're trolling and mocking someone elses thread. In any event, someone was finally squatting with good form. That person is quickly going to strengthen their weaker areas (back, core, hamstrings) and in a month or two when they catch up to their quads, they'll keep making good consistent gains, soon be doing 185 with good form, then 225 and from there as much as they can handle. Good for them. Meanwhile, the ego lifter who loads up 315 for chit reps is going to be spinning their wheels.

    In a year the dude doing it right will be doing the same weight, just with good form.

    Whatever you do, don't fukin quit. Progress is slow and it's painful, but it gets easier if you keep going. Embrace how much it sucks, understand that you're literally trying to change the structure of your body, and just keep going. You'll be glad you did.

    edit: if it makes you feel better, I couldn't even bench the bar when I started working out. Had to start with a 15 lbs bar with 5s on each side or something, and even that left me sore as fuk for a week.

    good days and bad days man. I finally filmed my squat this morning, and found I wasn't going quite low enough. Just approaching parallel.

    Dropped weight a bit and corrected to just below parallel. Probably take a month or so to build back up to where I am now going lower.. Good news for you is you don't have to stay where you are. I remember starting at 135 and feeling like it would about kill me. Weak like kitten. 9 months of work in and still feeling like a kitten, but continuing on the journey to a respectable weight regardless:

    Getting yourself into the lifting routine and getting used to progressive overload is a large part of why most beginners quit. It sucks at first but the horrible DOMS stop after your body adjusts. Keep at it man
