LOL at "trying to learn" a Level 1 language. 16 weeks to proficiency...

But at the same time, about time you did something about your beachfront condo, it would certainly be useful to speak the official language of Nicaragua when dealing with the local officials.

Yeah boy, i can speak spanish, not too fluently but I can hold hour long conversations. Probably around 75% speed of a native. I watch shows, and comprehend anywhere from 90-100% of what's being said.

I'm super interested in language acquisition and have been doing it for a while. i'll move on to Japanese (another interest of mine) within a year.

The basic principle of language acquisition is understanding. Language consists of vocabulary, grammar, and syntax. All these things aren't "formulated." You can't use language the way you use math.. Vocabulary, grammar, and syntax can only be understood in context. Therefore, you've gotta sit, and absorb the language. You have to listen, and read it in context. Speaking comes naturally after understanding. Speaking, at it's base level, is really just an imitation game. Copy how native speakers speak and you'll be "fluent." That's all there is to it.

I have some suggestions on resources if you need em

I'd say beginner stage, for example

there are phrases i know how to say fluently:

(my spelling needs work, but to speak and understand the language is most essential for me)

hola, mi yamos OP, musto gusto.

    Mucho gracias,

    De nata

    El vs Ella

    Buenos Dias Vs Buenas Tardes

    adios / hasta pronto

    aprende espanol

    andele

    por favor

maybe a few other ones i just don't remeber. but having sentence structure and also legit pronunciation is the goal.

Right now my only learning method is an app called babble, paid $44 for 3 months worth of lessons and so far its pretty legit.

but i also am gonna start watching more Spanish dramas or something to keep me in that zone.

Not really only other language I know besides my own are Spanish and English and I learned both progressively since my teenyears, but to anyone who wants to make some language gains I suggest checking the site duolingo, best way to make gains fast it surprised me how efficient it is

Your proficiency, according to what you posted, is less than what you'd learn in a single lesson.

Alternatively, it's the amount of Spanish you would know if you never learned Spanish, but was familiar with Gooby memes.

I ran into someone the other day who told me he knew 6 languages, said he owned a gt350 and had a new tesla on order, I was impressed to say the least, I then walked away after my test drive and told the used car salesman good luck.

maybe a few other ones i just don't remeber. but having sentence structure and also legit pronunciation is the goal.

Right now my only learning method is an app called babble, paid $44 for 3 months worth of lessons and so far its pretty legit.

but i also am gonna start watching more Spanish dramas or something to keep me in that zone.

Yeah man you speaking and understanding were my goals too. You'll probably want to get to a point where you start to be able to read as well. Good thing, Spanish is a phonetically simple language, where the spelling of the words matches it pronunciation.

You also DONT need to spend any money to learn a language. You just need some native level content.

I'm gonna link you to some videos that really helped me with my foundation in learning languages. Give em a watch brah. they'll really help.

As for content, Netflix has a lot of American shows dubbed with Spanish audio. So just rewatch your favorite stuff with Spanish audio. Also, La Casa de Papel is GREAT. It's called Money Heist in english.

You didn't, but if you actually spent more time on it, and only know what you posted that you know, I feel sorry for your half hearted effort.
