If by ice caps, you mean Antarctic sea ice, the net loss of Antarctic sea ice is well observed in the data. Here's one 2017 paper that found ice loss in the western Antarctic to be greater than ice gain in the east:

Yes this was one 2015 study that used one type of measurement (based on altimetry, which can be inaccurate for very large areas). That isn't to say the study design isn't solid, but numerous different measurement methods have been used to try and answer the same question and all have found the estimations of ice gain in eastern Antarctica through altimetry to be large overestimations, and the Antarctic to have net losses of huge amounts of ice over the last 25 years. I linked you 3 very recent ones above, can you respond to them?

The actual author of the study you quoted is not a climate change denier - his conclusions even based on his data were that if Antarctic ice is growing, then the rising sea levels we have observed must be coming from something else, namely major underestimations of Arctic and Greenland ice melting. Even if his figures were correct (there is a lot more evidence to suggest they aren't), it still isn't an argument against climate change.

Again, can you tell us who specifically you consider "legit scientists"? Your special education teacher, or the support worker who ties your shoelaces, do not count. I'm looking for actual scientists in the relevant field, can you name us some?
