Every new hotness dual threat QB gets their 15 Minutes of greatness.

    RG3
    Kap
    Cam

    Ect.

All were considered monsters at one point.

    Backup
    Out of league
    Benched for game manager

I think this is Lamar’s MVP season, possible Super bowl appearance.

And in 4 years it will be “Hey remember when Lamar was good?”

    Will Bump in 4 years.

If you take out his two games against the dolphins and bengals he’s thrown 7 TDS and has 5 int.

He’s feasting on chit tier opponents and mediocre against the rest of the league when it comes to throwing.

Yeah he was totally mediocre against New England's number one defense. He's 13-3 as a starter .. why should he throw more if he doesn't have to? His receivers last year were the corpse of Michael Crabtree, Willie Snead and John Brown (who he didn't connect with). This year he has a midget rookie as his No. 1 and trash.

None of these guys were even remotely close to what Lamar is doing. Only guy in the same ballpark is Vick. But, yeah, probably a matter of time until a dirty player goes after his legs.

Cam went 15-1 putting up the stats and won MVP. Lamar won’t have that record, and might not win MVP.

And to the others comparing to Wilson, I wouldn’t consider Wilson a “running” QB. He can, but he doesn’t.

I would not call this season lucky. He is doing well because he's a good player, and extremely gifted combined with the Ravens creating an offense to revolve around this skillset. The problem is that this current style of play is not sustainable long term. You don't want your franchise QB running the ball 15-20 times a game and getting smacked. Right now Lamar is young and can take the beating, but as years go on that is going to catch up. (See Cam Newton), and eventually his speed will diminish. At the point he needs to rely on his arm more than his legs.

I will say, Jackson does a good job of dodging big hits. All it takes is one however, or someone falling on your knee and RIP knee ligaments.

Yeah Wilson isn't in the same category as Lamar, Vick, RG3 but he definitely wasn't the type of pocket passer is now the first few years.

The way you stopped Seattle in prior years was keep Wilson in the pocket and make him throw from there. Now he can beat you from the pocket or outside of it. I hate that little cornball but I respect the hell out of his game.

I really hate when people say things like "it's not sustainable" or "all it takes is one hit".. well no ****, pocket passing QBs getting nailed sitting in the pocket all the time because they sont have the ability to escape a DL. I'd rather have a guy who can run away from contact and if he gets hit its by a corner rather than a slow QB who gets pile drives by a DL who is 300+.. literally makes no sense when people say that. Plus it's like people never watch Lamar. He's constantly going out of bounds , but his greatest asset is he is always looking to avoid big hits. The biggest hit he's had all year was the Bengals game when he stood in the pocket and got drilled by a blitzing safety as he threw the TD to Brown. Imagine that, Lamar's biggest hit he's taken all year was FROM THE POCKET

You can hate it, but it’s true.

Pocket QBs last longer and have for the most part much better Careers.

Your own backup is a lesson to how fast a run heavy QB can go from next Mike Vick to well, a backup. In a very short amount of time.

The play isn't sustainable because his success right now is revolving around his physical gifts, which are going to decline at some point due to age/wear and tear. Also scrambling and running opens you up to many more chances to get smacked. In the pocket the QB is protected to a degree by the rules. Once he becomes a runner, it's a different story. There is a reason coaches scream for their QB to slide.

None of these guys were even remotely close to what Lamar is doing. Only guy in the same ballpark is Vick. But, yeah, probably a matter of time until a dirty player goes after his legs.
Will bump in 1 year. Lol at bring up records for a QB. Who cares when he clearly still can't throw.

What do you think happens to pocket QBs whose physical gifts leave them? They struggle. The difference is while Lamar is still progressing becoming a pocket passer (which hes made massive strides and continues to do so) he has an ultimate weapon that nearly every other QB in history doesn't have. Lamar is not Vick.... he's already better than Vick ever was in ATL as a passer

RG3 was already injury prone heading into the draft. He tore his knee up at Baylor and missed a whole year. He was awful at sliding and avoiding contact, contrast that with Wilson who is amazing at it.

Most running QBs never really had a shot to being with until recently, and they damn sure didn't have an offense tailored for them

Also I'm a Pack fan not Ravens, just have always liked Lamar and thought he could be special

When Kaep was a starter in the beginning of his career he was a wrecking ball.

I remember Ron Jaworski, on ESPN, said that he would go down as maybe the greatest ever.

The coordinators eventually figured him out.

When I saw Lamar running the "pistol" all I thought of was Kaep.

Lamar isn't a gifted passer, and that is always what we see out of these running QB's. Wilson was never a runner. He's athletic, but he is, and always has been, a pure passer.

I give Lamar a couple seasons. He is either going to get plowed, and miss 5-7 games a season like Vick or will get figured out by coordinators and be benched like Kaep.

A little bit more film and defenses will figure him out. Time will tell if he can adapt by throwing the ball more or if he becomes another Kaep.

Coaches and fans want longevity... you think 9ners fans and panthers fans look back at their 1-2 years of success without Super Bowl wins with glee?

No... they want to be in it every year.

And the recipie for that is and always will be a strait pocket passer or a mobile pocket passer.

    Not a Lamar.

I expect 2-3 seasons of greatness from LJ, I’d be silly impressed if the lamar experience lasted longer.

Your narrative is stupid, as a Packers fan I've looked at 2 Superbowls with 2 of the greatest QBs of all time. Saints have been to 1, Chargers have been to NONE. What a stupid argument you're trying to make. Teams will take winning, even if it's for a short window because it's hard AF to get there.

Lmao at you thinking Lamar isn't a mobile passer. You dont get 2 perfect passer ratings by having no ability

Kaep had a few good seasons. Going to a couple of NFC championship games and losing a SB isn't all too impressive. Maybe knowing Tom Brady has been to the AFC championship games 75% of his career skews my perception a little, but still.....

He won't be remembered at all down the road, and if he is remembered it will be for the goofy political stunts.

I will say watching him blow out Aaron Rodgers a couple of times in the playoffs was fun to watch.

Everything I have said is facts.
