How far does he drop in the draft now with his dislocated hip injury?

First thing I thought of was Bo Jackson's hip injury. Yikes.

What do they have to trade given they have no first round pick? If they did have it they wouldn't need to trade up much, they'll likely finish 5-11.

Bo’s career ended because of a degenerative joint. The joint essentially died as a result of the injury and subsequent surgery. The break and dislocation can occur without the disease that ended Bo’s career. I’m not sure if advances in technology over the past 3 decades makes that process less likely or not. But even at the best case scenario, I can’t see how a team is going to take a chance with an early pick on him. Tua is made of glass. He’s had at least 4 surgeries in his 2 and a half seasons in college. Now he has a hip injury? It’s sucks because as much as I dislike the hype surrounding him and Alabama, he’s a dynamic player when healthy. I expect him to get drafted in the 3-5 range and a team can just hope he has a chance to get healthy. Can’t see spending a 1st round pick on a guy you know won’t compete next year and may never.

Side note: do you think tua’s dad bears his ass for getting hurt and costing the family millions of dollars?

The dislocation probably isn’t that bad, but having the fracture in his hip bone is probably pretty serious. I guess we’ll get to find out how far technology has come, but either way he’ll probably be living with that issue the rest of his life.

    This absolutely breaks my heart.

However, as a Patriots fan, I'm hopeful. I'd love him to fall to the Patriots at the bottom of the 1st round. He can sit and heal behind Brady for 2 seasons and learn then come in and carry the torch.

Nothing like Bo Jackson's injury, though. His was a dislocation through the back of the hip and that severed an artery, causing avascular necrosis which degenerated the hip. Tua's was just the force of hitting the ground on his knee, shoving the ball of the hip into the acetabulum and fracturing/dislocating it. Jackson's injury was potentially life threatening. Tua's is just painful.

This, most people aren’t aware of just how serious bo Jackson’s injury really was. It’s a shame too, potential GOAT cut down too early but at least he still has a decent quality of life, things could’ve been much worse.
