The prosecutor was universally loathed at home and abroad for being in bed with corrupt oligarchs. If by dragging his feet you mean actively pursuing it... then you are right. Ukraine had just raided the owner of the company's home, Burisma had just reached out to the US state department for help and name dropped biden's son, etc. The prosecutor was following biden's sons money trail through cyrpus and state in court documents that he was about to interview him.

None of what you just said is anything other than a CNN talking point. And even if the prosecutor was corrupt, is the proper course of action for the US of all countries, in particular a man whose son is directly implicated by the prosecutor, to create a 6 hour billion dollar threat in exchange for firing the prosecutor? If everyone thought he was corrupt, why didn't Obama have a discussion with ukraines president about his concerns? Why didn't other countries step in? Why biden's quid pro quo?

I think the senate should follow the model of the house-- deny all witnesses called by the dems, subpoena all witnesses they want, and absolutely railroad the entire hearing. Throw out all hearsay, get Schiff and the WB, get the ICIG, get chalupa, Nellie ohr, and the biden's up there. Make them all explain their roles. It would be beautiful. And the dems couldn't bitch and moan because the house had just done the same thing and said it was fine.

They absolutely would bitch and moan about the whole thing though. Probably try some will of the people BS and the Senate needs to do things properly and convict Trump.

Whats really going to happen is that this never even makes it to the Senate floor. Too many repubs are part of the same corrupt dealings a lot of the Dems are part of it. As much as it would probably be good for the country to wipe out all the scum in one fell swoop, its just not going to happen. I really REALLY hope I'm wrong though and the senate does a full investigation.

End of the day, doing their best to discredit Trump was all this was about though.
