Every nation / empire that has fallen away from God, cast him out, has fallen and been destroyed. You can see how America is being slowly purged especially California. I say let it continue, as prophecy will be fulfilled sooner and Jesus will return to fix this world.

So the rise in atheism has spawned the rise of complainers. Kind of agree.
Christians:
"Wahhh, they're taking Christ out of Christmas"
"Wahhh, Starbucks did something"
"Wahhh, gov't buildings removing my personal religious crap from their buildings."
Provides for some decent entertainment, especially when the Satanists get involved. Such lulz.Virtue is its own reward.

For me it's Merry Christmas regardless. Don't give a chit, and truthfully when companies go out of their way to avoid saying those two words it feels queer as fuk to me. BRB-Starbucks today "Merry Coffee" and whole bunch of other companies doing similar chit. Totally fake.
In a way, it's a form of justice. Tons of these symbols were originally pagan, and got swallowed up by Christianity. Now we have faceless corporate entities swallowing up borrowed pagan traditions currently used by Christians to make more dollars hocking their junk. Circle of life.Virtue is its own reward.

If you're JW, or similar type Christian who takes the book and not the current traditions seriously, I respect that. Much of this world is legions of unthinking masses following "traditions" an whoever is in charge without taking into consideration the roots of their belief.
Virtue is its own reward.

I haven't read through the whole thread but in response to the OP, the reason to the "I'm offended" culture as well as the rise in crazy identity politics is because of the rise of social media. 20 years ago you only communicated with your family/friends/coworkers who you actually had relationships with. If you they did something to offend you, you would talk to them about it and make up (or not, and not be friends with them anymore). Identity politics wasn't as popular because huge groups of people couldn't come together so easily. But with the rise of social media, you now have millions of people communicating directly with the other millions of people and people are segregating into their own identity groups. Once they are in their own groups, they can then get offended as a group when someone offends their group. Nothing at all to do with god.
