Just on the lookout for a decent mechanical keyboard with reds and I'll be good.

Out of curiosity - do other people you live with ever complain about the noise? My mechanical keyboard is so f'n loud that the clacking can be heard rooms away. My current one cost me a decent chunk but I'll be selling it and buying one with Cherry Silent switches at some point.

Even on Discord I have to adjust the settings so my mic doesn't pick up the clacking. Annoying af.

The switches in that k/b look plenty loud to me - that's why I mentioned the 'Cherry MX Silent (Red)' switches - there's a difference at least to my ears and a significant one.

Could not pass, wasn't planning to upgrade yet but it was a great deal. $2430 after tax (CA sucks). Got an ASUS Predator 27" for $380 too to go with it. Just need a keyboard now and I will be set; also looking to add a SSD I guess.

my biggest knock on ryzen's is they run hot, but sht the gpu alone is 1200 bucks so id like to think thats not a bad deal, I just like assembling it myself

It was $2199 but then CA tax nails me, so it was a little cheaper than that. Parts alone are close to the cost of it prebuilt and they use all name brand parts, the ram is also 3600 so that's a bonus.

Heads up for anyone interested in a "premium" controller - the Wolverine Xbox One controller is $92 on Amazon right now. A little more than Razer's site, but at least you can easily return with Amazon just in case.

Having used the predecessor (Wildcat), I found it to have above and beyond superior buttons to any other Xbox controller, something that is apparently worse on the new Elite Series 2 controllers and breaking, alongside far easier to use extra buttons right next to the triggers. Personally, I find that all of these exclusively bottom paddles serving as extra buttons to be worthless since they are too accessible, easily being pressed by mistake for anyone who, heaven forbid, has normal sized hands. At least the extra bottom pads can be disabled, but with the Wolverine/Wildcat, you have those side bumpers as a backup.

Otherwise, my black friday/cyber monday is reserved for supplements since there isn't anything else I need that's tech-related. Time to stock up on Alpha Lion because they're discontinuing all of the good stuff after partnering up with bodybuilding.com, so from here on out it's all "athletic test approved" pussy sh*t.


Back to hardware stuff - anyone interested in a new processor should check out the latest AMD reviews and double check against the latest Intel refresh, which is apparently good, but nothing spectacular, while also suffering in performance from the latest exploit mitigations.

I dont think the 3 series line runs overly hot. My 3700x on the stock cooler runs fine

So, yeah... we all get to lose out because some GNC, dust-collector of a brand went on their period because they can't compete against products that work by selling rice powder.

If there is one thing that makes me livid, it's the pharmaceutical-paid, FDA crackdown on anything that could pose a remote threat to their precious, prescription patents because of the blatant hypocrisy, sheer corruption, ignorance, and overly-specific overreach by the government.

Typically the run not only all weekend, but to Monday as well, with some sales either improving or only just starting for Cyber Monday.

That said, I would double check the website to make sure they don't make any mentions of sale cutoffs, and a few things I've done are check their respective social media pages (some only listed their discount codes there) or even look for old threads (e.g. reddit) mentioning what a specific site did in the past.

It's tricky because some sites get desperate and stretch the sales practically until Christmas, while others give you until Monday at the stroke of 11:59PM.

Sort of. It was through Google but from an authorized LG seller. I almost got suckered by this other company that was advertising it for around 1399 - people were saying they let you place the order then call you the next day saying "you ordered the 8 bit panel and for 400 more you can get the 10 bit etc..."

Awesome price. Costco has it for 2k... not sure though.

For me it was between this and the Samsung Q900R which on sale is around 2200 that I saw. This LG edged it out on colors and the interface. You might be able to find some deals either now or towards Christmas I guess.

Decided to pull the trigger and splurge. Upgraded to a Ryzen and looking for a new GPU now. Currently have Intel i5 3.5 GHz , Radeon R9 207 and 8 GB DDR3. Got a new Ryzen 7 2700 with Asus mobo for it and 16GB DDR4. Cant find any new good GPU for sale that would last me a few years, maybe something like a Nvidia 2060/2070, Radeon 590 or Radeon Rx Vega 64.
