I have seen many guys here prefer short women. It seems being a short woman in America is not a problem in dating market, even prefered. On contrary there are many tall girls who are rejected for being tall by men.
It is a bit strange for me who grown in completely different culture, where being a short woman is equally worse, if not more. I am slightly under average height in my country. Its always one of the first questions a man asks me if he doesn't know already. Im 163cm (5'4" in US?) and I'm being told by men who are five or more inches taller than me that I'm too short. It takes a bit more effort as a short girl to weed out the immature and superficial men, but the genuine ones are out there.

Doesn't it actually make sense? They want their offspring to be tall and they have a bigger chance for that when the guy is much taller.
