    I'm the only person Ive ever seen OHP 185 for legit reps

    I saw 2 juicers using leg drive to hit 225 for very few resp but never seen anyone legit do 185 like me for reps

    And people wonder why their shoulders lag so much lol. If you can't OHP your bodyweight for reps and also shoulder press 100s don't @ me.

    My strict press PR was 235x1 before I gave them up.

    I stopped doing them many years ago because I had so many shoulder and pec problems from doing them. That won't be a popular thing to reveal to the OHP crew, but I tried everything for years to make them work including tons of extra pulldowns and rows to balance out the shoulder. Countless thousands of face pulls, rear felt flyes, pull aparts, disolocates, band traction, L-flyes, etc. But every time I turned around I had another strain or injury. I remember it got to the point where I couldn't put on a hoodie anymore and it hurt so bad just to reach up and grab a drinking glass out of the kitchen cabinet that I just said fuk it, I'm not doing it anymore.

    Once I just replaced my overhead press day with another bench press day, my problems essentially went away. I still do lots of those shoulder "prehab" exercises to this day like the pull aparts and the rear felt flyes and face pulls.

    i think the best exercice for biggest delts is ohp seated with smith machine, never tried but gonna try out soon

    I know yo know this but people tend to look at the caps of a delt and I feel don’t focus on how much the rear delt and a big upper back will complete the package overall.

    I started doing that heavy rear fly I was doing with Brett and mine have started changing right away. I love it.

    Shoulder press is the one thing I won't do on the smith, doesn't feel great at all. Incline presses are great, especially with how easy it is to add accommodating resistance

    I mean i think it's better than no press at all, but yeah i definitely agree it's not an ideal delt builder. I'd put it at the bottom of the list of exercises i listed

    I sometimes go months without any shoulder pressing at all, just the cuff laterals and rear delt stuff.

    I'm pretty sure (unless you're bench pressing with elbows completely flared and bringing the bar down to the collarbone) that you're getting plenty of work from bench pressing. I still do side raises and rear delt flyes but no overhead pressing.

    The reason you don't see a lot of guys with a big OHP the same way you see big benches, is simply because it's not anywhere near as common a lift in commercial gyms.

    ohp isn't very had on my shoulders, but lets say bench press fuk them 10x more, i keep injuring my rotator cuff it suck mayne and then can't do any ohp
