    Liquid Calories

So I work around 10-16 hours a day and I have not been able to find the time to meal plan and get things properly going for my nutrition, currently I am trying to gain weight because I want to participate in strongmen, I'm sitting at 189lbs and trying to average around 2500-3000 calories for meals, for the extra calories I need I've been just drinking a large amount of calorie dense liquids like chocolate milk, mass gainer protein shakes, gatorade, and other drinks in between and I was wondering if that was a smart idea. Thanks for the input.

I'll have to give almonds a try, not really a big fan but 350 calories per I forget how many grams is pretty nice.

Trail mix is always tasty and calorie dense, also any nuts.

It's not like liquid calories are inferior to solid ones as far as body composition goes. The reason a lot of people suggest food is if someone is trying to lose weight liquid calories can be less satiating or if people are trying to gain weight it might be cheaper to do with whole foods depending on the weight gainer. Personally, I say do whatever works and sometimes that's a weight gainer shake. I would prefer a lot of peanut butter myself.

It's always tempting to just eat a jar of peanut butter but that would become an expensive habit

I haven’t been on this forum regularly in probably 6 or more years, it warms my heart to see the love of pb has not changed

If anyone dare say anything bad about pb then I'll riot.

I love it in my protein shake. Or sometimes I'll add it to oatmeal or rice pudding. It goes so well with so many foods..well, nothing savoury lol.
I have a good joke about water retention. But I'm going to hold onto it for now.

I'm not an elevator, but I certainly do lift.

Going to the gym? Ha, it's just a weights of time.

Steroids and ass. They certainly go well together.

I'm the BB king..of puns. I train my back using only fish. I love my macker-rows.
