Doing a good job again man. I gained a bunch of weight because i had rotator cuff surgery and couldnt walk with my crutches for a good while and i ballooned up to 180 then got down to 164 recently to 158 right now. I was down to 130 before and i decided i want to get back down there again so i started my own log on here check it out if you get a chance ill send a link here then.

Why do I do this weightlifting thing for the last 32 years with all its ups and downs life has handed me? Because each time I came back stronger. NEVER GIVE UP. Gym life is about more than muscles getting bigger and weights going up. Its wisdom discipline dedication humility you name it.

hey man! Yeah been a bit crazy since covid19 and lockdowns here and the kids around, keeping me busy! Diet wise ive been good. Getting 4-5 cardio sessions of 30 mins and full body workouts at home. Weights are rare and $$$ here now lol!

Sitting at 177lbs yesterday am. Had some good ol canadian brunch with maple syrup and cake for easter so probably gained 6-7lbs today lol

Heres a quick photo update which would mark 8.5 months difference and about 115lbs loss.

Hi John Cyr, I have been following your journey on the sideline. Great job!! i'm also trying to get rid of some fat and i must say i'm impressed with how resilient you are! you might have mentioned this already how many calories are you consuming and did you go into a big deficit since the beginning of the journey or have you chosen to decrease calories gradually

When i first began, during the first 5 months, my daily calories on average were 1900cals. I was keeping mostly under 100g carbs per day and was fasting one day a week. Weights 4 days a week and cardio was moderate at 20 mins on the bike losing 220cals per session.

Slowly re introduced carbs through carb cycling or depending on the energy needed throughout the day. I dont fast anymore. I eat between 2200-2500cals daily now, however cardio has increased to 30 mins on the elliptical losing 500cals per session...

Been averaging a loss of 1lbs per 2 weeks. This week a little more as i stalled a bit last week.

    Thanks for the kind words

Hey just returning the stop-in. Amazing job man! Do you think your success has more to do with the diet or exercise? You seem to really put in the work on the cardio.
