Typhus and bubonic plague is back in L.A. Is this the fault of Anti-vaxxers?

Please explain how can this be possible, are anti-vaxxers ruining the herd immunity for bubonic plague for all of us?

I guess I missed the development of vaccines for typhus and plague.

It's all about people living in filth.

It's almost like the ideal way to prevent pandemics is a combination of vaccinations, clean cities, personal hygiene and high food inspection standards. Vaccinations are an amazingly powerful medical tool but they're not literal magic.

    EDIT

While anti-vaxxers are selfish irresponsible retards who threaten the public health, they are not the only possible threat to public health; lots of homeless people living in mediaeval-grade squalor and acting as a breeding ground for pestilence are another example of a public health threat.

Iirc it’s not a lack of vaccination or diminished herd immunity. It’s filth and squalor.

We don't have vaccines for these. However, these are bacterial infections and can be treated with antibiotics.

While the presence of filth is correlated with carriers of the disease, such as lice, fleas, and rats, anyone can get the disease from being infected in any manner of ways.

It isn't because of filth and squalor. It isn't God cursing anyone. It's just some bacteria.

They were never erradicated, it went away because eventually proper sanitation systems were developed and people stopped throwing their chit and piss out the window into the street.

Now all the bums LA are pissing and chitting on the sidewalk and in the street and then sleeping in the same spot so it's making a comeback.

I was glad to read that the company Apple announced plans to spend 2 billion dollars helping improve the homeless situation in California. If that money is spent well, cleaning up and improve the food nutrition of the homeless, I figure that will help decrease the disease outbreaks being seen in parts of California.

Recreational drugs can decrease a person's immune system, and increase the incidences disease infections.
