The Pittsburgh pro ratchets / screwdrivers are great. Really good quality.

I have one of the US General 5 drawer tool carts and it’s also very nice for like $200.

I work in an automotive factory and see a lot of the US General carts right along with Macs and Snap ons

Bought one of the Bauer 20V impacts and circular saw and they run pretty well for what they are, have been building a fence with the circular saw and have used the impact a ton for the past year.

Hercules angle grinder has held up really well. Used it to cut pavers for a patio which kicks up a ton of dust and it still works perfectly.

Almost picked up a mitre saw there last week but ended up getting a ridgid for the same price at the CPO outlet and it seems much higher quality though.

cheap tools. Some are questionable regarding quality but they get the job done.

there are certain tools there that are absolutely professional grade and probably made alongside the name brand stuff with minor differences, however there are also some tools that are outright dangerous or just garbage

a lot of forums out there have threads dedicated to people torture testing their stuff on purpose and there's a sizeable youtube following doing exactly the same

i usually just google the PN# before i go there and read reviews, i won't buy anything blind off the shelf

I typically stay away from their power tools, though they've added a couple of different lines (that are more expensive) to their inventory that I haven't tried.

    Hand tools are good.
Tool Boxes are probably the best deal in the store.
Air tools are ok if you aren't making a living using them.

Very cheap tools, quality is hit or miss. I have a few power tools that have lasted as long as my Dewalt stuff, others died in a few months. Overall it's great for jobs around the house, but I wouldn't use them if it was for my career.

you ever actually held one of their 12 ton stands? things are literal anchors. call it chinese steel all you want, most stands you buy are chinese whether they tell you or not and i'd rather use a stand that big at it's minimum setting than use 4x4s to crib up a maxed out "US made" 4 ton

power tools seem to be the miss more often than not but i built my entire truck with one of their old orange 4-1/2" angle grinders and i've literally left that thing outside through rain, covered in mud, grease and who knows what else for over 10 years and it still spins up immediately and strong as the day i bought it. been through at least 2 sets of brushes if not more.. still reach for that grinder before my dewalt

There's a few tools there that are great for the price and will last:

    -A/C Manifold Gauge Set
    -Wheel chocks/ramps
    -Vacuum Pump
    -Maybe a deep socket set
    -Ladders
    -Mats

Maybe others here can offer some examples.

Their pittsburg pro tools are of decent quality. I've got a couple of their ratchets and never had an issue and use them fairly often. I actually prefer their 5/8 ratchet to my snap on ratchet. More comfortable IMO and similar amount of teeth as well.

As others have said for the guy that works on their own stuff they are great. Even better if I need to "make" a custom tool to get some hard to reach spot I don't feel any remorse about sacrificing a tool.

With the recent drop in quality from craftsman I would say go for it. I actually am thinking about getting a bigger tool box and will probably go with a harbor freight one.

Hazardous Freight is awesome for home owners. Never buy anything without at least a 20% off coupon. It’s one of those places that marks up their already cheap stuff and then puts out 20% off coupons every week.

Don’t buy anything there that you need to be reliable. They’re good for one time projects or once or twice a year projects.

Most of their Pittsburg hand tools are great (sockets, wrenches, breaker bars, etc). I also have their torque wrench which comes in handy when I do my brakes or anything like that

Agreed, I have some of their Pro tools and nothing has ever failed. I've actually exchanged numerous Craftsman ratchets because they failed in some way but the HF junk is holding up fine.

Just read about that suit. Snap On got scared cause Harbor Freight was gonna show evidence in discovery that the jacks were made at the same factory in China as retaliation lol. My neighbor has the Daytona jack that I mentioned earlier in the thread and it is legit. I think he paid $99 for it

Anything Pittsburgh Pro is usually fantastic.

The floor jacks & jack stands are fantastic as well.

Stay away from any of the power tools. The air tools are decent though. They surprised the **** out of everyone when they dropped their latest models.

Overall the store isn't complete trash. A lot of the people ITT are just trying to justify their purchase after getting ****ed by the snap-on truck. Can't blame them LMAO.

Look at the reviews on the website and that'll tell you what's good and what isn't.

    It's probably haunted now.

I use jack stands and ramps under the tires for extra safety.

There's tons of youtubers who have put their stuff through torture tests and they always do surprisingly well especially for a fraction of the cost of SnapOn stuff.

Their tool boxes are very well built for the price, the Pittsburg Pro stuff is awesome, jacks/jack stands are good, nitrile gloves are dirt cheap, their 5 drawer mechanics tool cart is literally identical to the SnapOn BluePoint one for 1/4 of the price. Most of their tools also have a lifetime warranty so idk why anyone would buy Husky or Craftsman when they're both more expensive and still made in China lmao.

I typically stay away from their cordless or electric stuff and stick with Milwaukee or DeWalt but everything else they sell is pretty decent.

Great tools and items for the money. I just personally wouldn't use the stuff for a living, precision or electrical tools. I have some misc hand tools and an aluminum floor jack from them and like them. The jack has been going strong for about 5 years now.
