My tdee is around 2,195 so i’m bulking over by about 250. My protein says I only need about 125 grams, but some days I go over that and get to like 165-170 grams of protein. I’m 130 pounds and 5’8 1/2 trying to get to 145-150. I was just wondering if it’s safe to consume that much protein a day and nothing will get damaged in my body. sorry if i sounds stupid lol.

If anything it's better to go higher with the protein than not getting enough when trying to build/maintain muscle, and your protein intake is not particularly extreme compared to what many other bodybuilders consume. Also no studies have ever proven high protein diets to be harmful in healthy people, but do make sure you are eating a balanced diet with fruit and veg and drink plenty of water. As long as you are in good health with a normal liver and kidney function you have nothing to really worry about.

Came in expecting something crazy with too low fat or carb, that amount is totally fine I eat that much and I am not bulking and unless your eating super lean proteins, it’s probably helping get your other macros in, at least fat.

Been playing around with my carbs as of late. Interesting personal findings.
Cut back carbs by about 20-25% for the past 2 weeks or so and replaced it with a bit of fat and the rest protein.
Negatives: Very slight decrease in gym performance, less pumped, less tasty food overall
Positives: MUCH more stable energy, MUCH more stable mood, MUCH more stable hunger (bulking so this isn't really a problem as it would be on a cut), more motivation throughout the day?
Chalking it up to slight blood sugar issues for the most part. I'm not diagnosed diabetic or pre but I'm thinking my changes in weight over the years, running stupid different diets, and a history of being obese has messed up my system slightly. Maybe all in my head as well.
Anyways, no real correlation to this thread. Just thought it was interesting and I'd share.Life is constant learning. Give advice about things you know. Ask questions about things you don't.
