Technically, you should see your Dr for bloodwork to see if you are even deficient.

I take a Vit D daily but I get blood work every 6 months and have had to double up sometimes. Get blood work done and have your levels checked.

5k in the winter and 2k in the summer months for me

3,000 iu a day puts me at 70 ng/ml but it varies a lot by individual.

I've seen it recommended that you take 5,000 iu a day for 60 days and then get tested to dial it in.
